The Registered Nurse Division 1 will act as a role model and practice within the core values. Overall, the clinician will form an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be required to provide highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers, while upholding a high level of professionalism. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Registered Nurse currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Current clinical experience with experience and knowledge within sterilization Completion of Certificate IV in Sterilization Services or working towards Demonstrate knowledge of AS 8147 and Australian Collage of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) standard and their application to understanding of surgical aseptic technique and associated practices Demonstrate commitment to individual and staff professional development Demonstrate ability to work and communicate as part of a multidisciplinary team Demonstrate understanding of Continuous Quality Improvement Demonstrate the ability for adaption and flexibility in practice in an environment of change Computer literacy with sound ability in basic word processing and data entry Key Performance Indicators Implement and evaluate the standards of the CSSD and ensure compliance in partnership with the Operating Services NUM Recognize and responds appropriately to unexpected events or rapidly changing situations and where appropriate reports to Operative Service NUM Ensure Maintains levels of sterile supplies through the hospital and external consumer groups ensuring sterile supplies meet all standards and with particular AS 4187 Support continuous quality improvement and risk management process within PDH, the Operating Services and CSSD Ensures all surgical instrumentation is maintained in excellent working condition and problems and/or breakages are attended immediately Ensure adherence to annual compulsory education program Ensure participation and contribution to education calendar Ensure support of NUM through development of policies, procedures, audits and reports as required Provide evidence of requirements to ensure standards of AHPRA self declaration are met.

POSITION STATEMENT for Registered Nurse - CSSD 3 Information Management Prepare reports, policies and plans in relation to clinical issues and provide recommendations to the relevant committees. Compliance with current documentation requirements. Maintain daily timesheets, worksheets, records and reports as required by the organization Safe Practice & Environment Maintain knowledge of OH&S policies and procedures, including manual handling, infection control and No Lift.
