The Outstanding Young Persons of the World for 2011 JCI is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the 2011 JCI TOYP program. The TOYP program of Junior Chamber International (JCI) serves to recognize up to ten individuals between the ages of 18 and 39 who exemplify the best attributes of the world s young people. Nominations are received in each of the seven categories listed below. Honorees selected in past years have represented the heights of progress in all human endeavors. Many have gone on to even greater achievements. All have continued to serve humanity in a great variety of ways. JCI will honor The Outstanding Young Persons of the World of 2011 at an Awards Ceremony the week of October 31-November 5, 2012 during the 67 th JCI World Congress in Taipei, Taiwan. The ceremony will highlight each winner s career in narrative form and provide a stage from which the honorees can challenge and inspire young people from around the world. For each honoree, there will be a video presentation profiling his/her accomplishments, followed by the trophy presentation, and an acceptance speech. Young men and women may be nominated in one of the seven categories for the TOYP honor. Honorees will be selected by an international panel of distinguished judges. Up to ten seven honorees will be selected from all nominations received, regardless of category entered. CATEGORIES: 1. Business, Economic and/or Entrepreneurial accomplishment 2. Political, Legal, Governmental Affairs and/or Human Rights 3. Personal improvement and/or Academic accomplishment 4. Cultural and Artistic achievement 5. Contribution to Children s welfare, World Peace, Humanitarian and/or Voluntary missions, Moral and/or environmental leadership 6. Medical innovation, Scientific and/or Technological development 7. Contribution to the European Year of Volunteerism Please keep in mind: - Every nominee must be willing to be present at the JCI World Congress if selected as an honoree. - The nomination form must be sent by e-mail along with the ID/Birth certificate and the photo of the nominee. JCI will provide each Honoree: - Two complimentary JCI World Congress registrations - Single-room hotel accommodations for 3 days/2 nights - One economy airline ticket to the 2012 JCI World Congress 1

RULES GOVERNING NOMINATIONS. 1. Nominees must be between 18 and 39 years of age. A certified copy of the ID/Birth Certificate should be attached to the nomination form 2. The nominee must be a Maltese citizen, or must have obtained citizenship by January 1, 2008. 3. The nominee may not be a current member of the Board at the International, National or Local levels. 4. The nominee must sign the official nomination form (scanned signature) attesting to all facts contained in the form and granting permission for publication of these facts. By signing this form, the nominee also indicates willingness, barring extreme circumstances, to attend the JCI TOYP Awards Ceremony in Taipei,Taiwan, in 2012 if selected for a 2011 international award. 5. All information must be contained on the pages of this official form. No attachments of any kind are allowed. Scrapbooks, audiotapes, etc. CANNOT be used in the judging process. If a candidate is selected as one of the honorees, however, these items will be requested by JCI World Headquarters. 6.
