2018 Drill Competition Sequence This year s competition sequence has changed slightly from the usual format. The sequence is in 2 parts 1. Ceremonial & March Past 2. Instructional Drill The ceremonial and march past section will mimic a ceremonial parade with a march past in quick time and one in slow time, that will require the NCO IC to take part in the sequence as flight commander during the march past s. When the NCO IC moves between ceremonial and instructional positions they should move smartly. Points to note: a) Read the ceremonial section of AP818 as indicated to familiarise yourselves with some words of command b) Where it mentions Change ranks after the about term, it simply means the flight commander repositions to the front of the squad. The Instructional section is the standard sequence format where the NCO IC will give the commands Points to note: a) Pay particular detail to the technical execution, this section has a few basic movements so I am looking for the polish to the movement. All of the movements within the sequence are basic movements contained in AP818, there is nothing technical or unusual.
