IDFRD DRILLING FLUID(Mud) SCHOOL October 1 st to December 21 st 2018 About IDFRD DRILLING FLUID SCHOOL: The Drilling Fluid (Mud)Technology of upstream Oil and Gas Field Industryhas received tremendous impetus in recent times for its role in Drilling a stable bore hole and ensuring trouble free Drilling in taxing conditions such as unconsolidated formations, heaving or sloughing shales, horizontal or extended reached drilling etc. Research work in recent times has made significant strides to mitigate any kind of problem which may arise due to quality of drilling fluids. We at IDFRD, a subsidiary of Petropath Fluids India Pvt. Ltd. strive hard to assimilate the advances in the area for the benefit of Industry Professionals and Young Minds alike. We conduct short term courses to help budding professionals in Drilling Fluids Technology to prepare them to take up rewarding careers in the challenging and lucrative oil and gas industry.the course is designed such that they get adequate knowledge and expertise of various drilling fluid (mud) additives used under different trying conditions. Additionally, they would be placed in the field to get first hand exposure to field conditions for a month. The course offers excellent opportunity to the beginners, and trained alike to enhance their skills and to get good placements in the Industry. Towards the end of the course, there would be re-construction and final appraisal before signing off to consolidate the objectives of learning.
KEY COURSE OBJECTIVES: By attending the proposedcourse an insight would be gained in to the following aspects. Understanding the composition and properties of drilling andcompletion fluid systems and additives The nature of the additives and their utility. Importance of solids control in Drilling Fluid (Mud) maintenance and appraisal of solids control equipment Basic Drilling Technology Drilling Fluids (Mud) designas well as effective management and supervision in the field Formation damage and its control, completion fluid systems to maintain reservoir health and maximizing productivity COURSE DESIGN: Starting from 1 st October till 12 th November theoretical and practical training on various topics listed above would be imparted at our Head Quarters in Bangalore. Subsequently from 15 th of November to 12 th of December Field Orientation and on hand Job training shall be provided where our Drilling Fluid (Mud) activities are taking place. On 15 th December all would reassemble in Bangalore HQ for a recap and Appraisal and would sign off successfully on 21 st. Satisfactory Completion Certificates would be awarded to all participants.

Course Fee Structure: The fee could be made either in one instalment or two equal instalments. One at the time of booking and another after the first month of the course schedule. a.
