The following prerequisites apply: a. Must meet grade requirements or be in a promotable status. b. Must meet all medical readiness requirements. c. Must have passed a record Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) within the past 12 months and meet height and weight standards of AR 600-9, The Army Weight Control Program. d. Must have a Mandatory Removal Date (MRD) at a minimum of two years from the date joined. e. Must be a member of the Army Reserve and assigned to an Army Reserve Troop Program Unit, Individual Ready Reserve or Individual Mobilization Augmentee. f. Must possess, at a minimum, a Secret Security Clearance. 3. Unit Mission: The First Army United States Army Reserve (USAR) Support Command provides trained and ready Soldiers capable of seamless augmentation to First Army Staff in order to enable Mission Command of training readiness support for Pre and Post Mobilization requirements of reserve component formations. 4. Unit Information: First Army assists and trains Reserve Component units during premobilization periods, conducts mobilization, training, readiness validation, and deployment of alerted forces. First Army executes demobilization of Reserve Component forces in accordance with Department of the Army and Forces Command Directives. As well as provides training to Joint, Combined, Interagency, and Active Army Forces as directed. This unit has a very high operational tempo (OPTEMPO) and needs highly motivated, hardworking and committed individuals that are able to keep up with the demands of the unit. 5.
