In addition, as a part of its outreach activities, in March 2010 the Government of Japan, together with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo, held an event to celebrate the entry into force of the CCM and to promote its universalization in March 2010. In advance of the First Meeting of States Parties, Japan co-hosted a special event in NY on the margin of the United Nations General Assembly on the universalization of the CCM with Lao PDR. 37
