WELCOMING WORDS Dear neonatologists and pediatric intensivists, It is our pleasure to invite you to the Follow-Up Course to the 2017 Training in Pediatric Intensive Care and Neonatal Echocardiography (TINEC) organized jointly by pediatric cardiologists, intensivists and neonatologist from the University Hospital of Lausanne and Geneva, Switzerland. This Follow-Up training course, designed for practitioners who have participated in basic training, will consist of theoretical sessions as well as hands-on workshops in small groups and practice on patients and mannequins. We hope it will be a great opportunity for neonatologists and pediatric intensivists to practice echocardiography skills targeted to their everyday practice and to meet specialists from all different fields. We look forward to having you in Lausanne in January 2018. EBAC works according to the quality standards of the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), which is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). Each medical specialist should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. TAKE A SHORT SKI BREAK! The climate is usually cold in January with temperature of around 0 to 5 Celsius. Why not prolong your stay with a short ski break? Visit the Villars-Gryon or the Les Diablerets ski resorts just 45 min outside of Lausanne or for the more adventurous: the Chateau d Oex and the Pays-d Enhaut regions.
