Orinda Aquatics 2014-15 Collegiate Recap From a team of 170 year-round swimmers, Orinda Aquatics currently has an impressive 45 aquatic athletes (35 swimmers, eight water polo players, and two triathletes) competing for collegiate teams across the country. They are carrying on a tradition of excellence in academics, character, leadership (Courtney Whyte Team Captain, Notre Dame), and team commitment, continuing to develop as both swimmers (yellow highlights represent lifetime best times) and athletes. National Connection: Seven Orinda Aquatics swimmers earned NCAA qualifying times this season including three who each earned qualifying marks in three Division 1 events: Steven Stumph (100 breast B, 200 Breast A with the 6 th fastest collegiate time this year and the 200 IM B ), Sven Campbell (50 Fr B, 100 Back B and 200 Back B ), and Courtney Whyte (100 Back B, 100 Fly B, 200 Fly B ). Additional NCAA qualifying marks were earned by Chris Leon (200 Breast D1 B, Jeffrey Strausser (100 Fly D1 B ), and Erica Muller (500 Free D3 A ). Andrea Ward ( 10) continues to train with her collegiate coaches at the UCSB Gauchos targeting the 2016 US Olympic Trials. Kristen Cunnane remains the Associate Head Coach at Cal (NCAA DI Champions), Megan Freeman swims for Emory University (NCAA Division III National Champions) and Caroline Lukins joined her alma mater, Columbia University, as an Assistant Head Coach. Megan Howard (Navy) and Allie Light (UCLA NCAA Champions) both competed in the Collegiate Triathlon Championships.
