wellessences Diplomas in Flower & Vibrational Essences Student Handbook Welcome to wellessences BFVEA approved course to become a qualified Flower and Vibrational Essences Practitioner. About the course Study with wellessences takes place in Cornwall within easy reach of estuary, shore, tor, standing stones, holy wells and sacred places. Throughout the courses participants are encouraged to develop their own awareness of the natural world and develop their own intuitive links with the subtle energy of the planet, plants, trees and flowers. You will learn techniques, like dowsing and muscle testing, to develop and help yourself, adults, children and animals using essences successfully as part of their life journey and how essences can be used to create a positive impact on the environment. You will be given the opportunity to learn about and work with different essence ranges from all over the world and explore their differing benefits and life enhancing qualities. The qualification is not dependant on any one range of essences, it gives the practitioner the opportunity to build a broad base of experience and to select from a wide variety of sources which resonate with you as an individual. The one year course covers all aspects of practitioner training to achieve a recognisable Diploma for professional practice and insurance purposes and Advanced Practitioner status with the British Flower & Vibrational Essence Association (BFVEA). The emphasis over the ten two-day sessions is on building practical experience and acquiring underpinning knowledge to support confident and professional practise. Sessions are tutor led with as much as possible taking place in the countryside and beside the coast. Workbooks, supported by a selection of sample size essences, are to be completed between sessions, and will reflect your personal development and research. You will be asked to complete three case histories on different persons, charting their progress when using a range of essences, and keep a journal over your period of study reflecting your own experiences. Students are supported by individual tutorials, regular emails, internet messaging and by telephone. Sample sizes of selected essences are provided for use with the workbooks. Students are recommended to buy a minimum of one set of essences from a recognised source to complete their case histories and prepare for professional practise. You don't need to purchase these until you are about to start the case histories, unless you wish to do so.

The wellessences Advanced Diploma Course in Flower and Vibrational Essences is designed to give the practitioner a wide knowledge of Flower and Vibrational essence use which meets the BFVEA Syllabus requirements. Course Objectives To provide personal development opportunities to enable the student to become a practitioner in the use of Flower and Vibrational Essences. To provide underpinning knowledge and practise in Flower and Vibrational Essence use to meet BFVEA standards. To enable the qualified student to practice to a high professional standard as an Advanced Practitioner Diploma in Flower & Vibrational Essences. The curriculum covers: History and development of Flower and Vibrational Essences Opinions and definitions of Flower and Vibrational Essences Development of awareness of Subtle Energy Universal and Human Energy Fields including Chakras, Meridians Personal energy management and use of intuition Traditional and modern use of plants in healing Choosing essences including the use of dowsing, muscle testing and intuition Preparation of Flower and Vibrational Essences Dilutions pros and cons Storage and amplification Making Essences current regulations on bottling and labelling Discerning the quality of an essence Overview of different essences from around the world Environmental and horticultural uses of essences Professional practice including record keeping and MYMOP, consultation and evaluation skills Health, Hygiene and Safety Standards Practice Management including Code of Conduct Case Histories Compatibility of essence use with other therapies e.g. Reflexology, Colour therapy, Reiki and Aromatherapy, Crystal Therapy Treating children Treating animals Working with environmental issues Using crystals with flower essences There are two specialist additional modules available for continuing professional development: Further steps in Intuitive Development which encourages a deeper connection with Power Plants, Crystals and Sacred Places through intuition and dowsing. Small scale essence production which gives you the information you need to start making a commercial range of essences and the rules and regulations required by BFVEP British Flower and Vibrational Essence Producers, Industry Code of Practise, production methods and HACCP. It also gives you an overview of what you need to consider to confidently start a small business looking at the pros and cons, what help is available and the essential housekeeping required.

About studying to Advanced Practitioner Status and membership of BFVEA In addition to core studies in Flower & Vibrational Essences to gain practitioner status, there is a minimum requirement of Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology for the Advanced Diploma. These qualifications are available through distance learning with Mandragora Complementary School and the BFVEA Diploma in Health, Safety and Professional Practice available soon through BFVEA. A copy of your valid insurance policy is also required for membership of the BFVEA. The wellessences Diploma will be accepted by other insurance bodies for professional purposes. Accredited Prior Learning It may be possible to accredit parts of the Advance Practitioner Diploma if relevant evidence is produced and approved by the BFVEA, however some areas are essential to the core syllabus and must be studied face to face with the tutor. See evaluation checklist where the core elements are displayed in bold type. However unless you have directly studied flower essence therapy or have extensive practical and intuitive use of essences it is recommended that you take all modules in the course. Level 3 Diploma Anatomy & Physiology qualifications from recognised awarding bodies or other relevant certificates and diplomas, may provide verifiable evidence of your skills and knowledge, for which you may be credited with this element, and thus not need to do it again. A copy of the relevant Diploma will be required under all circumstances and needs to be submitted to the BFVEA when you apply for membership. Health & Safety and Professional Practice Diplomas from other professional bodies may be accepted as evidence of Accredited Prior Learning. A copy of the syllabus will need to be submitted with a copy of the qualifying diploma. VTCT Level 3 Diploma in use of Flower Essences provides accredited prior learning for the core elements of practice and entry to membership of the Bfvea (British Flower & Vibrational Essence Association) at practitioner level. A Level 2 Anatomy and Physiology qualification is required at this level attainable through study with MSC. Most professional bodies require a Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology Diploma for insurance purposes.
