What a great theme for this month. To me, this brings to mind all that Rotary has done and is con nuing to do to END POLIO across the en re world. You all should know the story and that we, as Rotary, are extremely persistent in our fight the past 30+ years in this ba le. We have made unbelievable strides but we s ll have had 12 cases this calendar year not quite to Zero! The efforts to end polio have also given us great infrastructure and communica on tools that allow other diseases to be treated and prevented. Ending polio will not only rid the world of a crippling disease but will leave behind the means to combat other disease outbreaks quickly and more efficiently than ever before saving countless more from suffering and death. Thank each of you for your efforts and contribu ons to END POLIO NOW! This is December so many of us may be wrapping up our financial planning for the 2017 year which may mean you need to make sure all your dona ons are in and accounted for. I would ask that you personally make your dona ons direct to Rotary on line! They are safe and secure and has no mail delay or any other hands on your money or your mail. Your receipt is instantaneous back through your email or checking your online account at Rotary.org! If your club takes up Founda on collec ons with your dues statement please ask your treasurer to ensure that the dona ons you made are sent to RI early this month to insure they are processed in this calendar year! This benefits you, the club, the district and especially the Rotary Founda on and all the people it helps THANK YOU! Our overall membership in the District is up by about 10 from the beginning of this year! I feel that each of your clubs can add a member this month if you work at it. Please make an effort to bring in a good member this month. What a joy to give the gi of Rotary to someone in your community! If Rotary has been a posi ve influence on your life why aren t you sharing that with someone in your community, or even your household. Make a Difference in someone s life this month ASK The Christmas and New Year s Holidays are quickly approaching! Patsy and I wish each of you a Joyous and Generous CHRISTMAS and Holiday Celebra on. Please be safe in your travels and your celebra ng the world needs you and your Rotary efforts next year very much!
