Port Security: Quantified and mitigated security risks for the lower Mississippi River by working with port security stakeholders, and assisted with oversight of over $60 million in Port Security Grants. Selected Major accomplishments Marine Transportation System (MTS) National Strategy- As key drafting team member, used superior policy expertise and deft political skills to work with interagency partners to create and gain buy-in on comprehensive national strategy for marine transportation policy coordination; joint strategy was approved by 18 Cabinet Secretaries & Agency Heads, which enhanced Federal MTS cohesion. Salvage & hazard to navigation- Recognized national level CG expert; key drafter of CG policy on salvage (Navigation & Vessel Inspection Circular 9-02); shaped interagency actions & promoted salvage preparedness, response, recovery and MTS resilience nationwide.
