ACTION: Invite Islamic Society to attend Grants Training. 6. Other Business 6.1. New Club Progress 6.1.1. IGMs Fiona asked that Committee please check the spreadsheet and sign up to IGMs. 6.1.2. Motorcycle Club The representative for Motorcycle Club was unable to attend IGM training due to an illness in the family, and has requested an extension. Motion 34: To grant Motorcycle Club IGM training exemption. Seconder: Chair

6.1.3. Financial Management Association of Australia affiliation Motion 35: To affiliate the Financial Management Association of Australia. 6.2. Payments 6.2.1. $360 August BBQ subsidies Seconder: Chair Motion 36: To approve $360 from budget line Special Project to pay AV@Melbourne for the August BBQ subsidies. 6.2.2. $666.77 New Keys Motion 37: To approve $666.77 from budget line Special Projects to pay MUSUL for keys. 6.2.3. September Training ($1332 to ITFE) Motion 38: To approve $1332 from budget line Training to pay ITFE for September training. 6.3. Juggling Club Payment Motion 39: To pay the Juggling Club s grant. 6.4. Safety In Clubs Discussion around the concerns of the Students Council. Steven said there were issues in suspending members rights, which Stephen has addressed with the new proposal. Another Councillor wrote to us concerned that People of Colour were not listed as limited constituencies, but Stephen said to include this would exceed the definition of limited constituencies in the UMSU Constitution. Stephen said he would refer this concern to the General Secretary, but that we could not include it until it was clearly defined in the Constitution. Motion 40: To recommend the revised Safety in Clubs amendments to the Students Council for adoption. 6.5. Locker Vandalism & new locks Seconder: Ryan Davey Stephen reported that several locks had been broken off lockers in the downstairs locker storage room (old Uni Store).

This was not reported to C&S until a week after the incident occurred. This has been communicated to MUSUL to ask why Security and Facilities failed to notice broken locks lying on the floor. Motion 41: To approve up to $500 from budget line Special Projects to purchase new locks, and to upgrade other locks. 6.6. AGMs Seconder: Ryan Davey 6.6.1. Sri Lankan Students Association Constitution Amendments Motion 42: To retrospectively accept the Sri Lankan Students Association s Constitutional amendments. Mover: Gulsara Kaplun 6.7. Alcohol Seconder: Yasmine Luu Fiona and Stephen have been working with Angie Courtenay (MUSUL Projects Officer) regarding alcohol for clubs. It has been determined that all clubs serving alcohol need to be covered by the MUSUL Liquor License, except for clubs whose main focus is alcohol (More Beer!, Cider Appreciation Society, and Student Wine Society), who will need to obtain their own liquor license. We will invite the Consultant to attend the next meeting of the C&S Committee, along with a representative from each of the alcohol-based clubs. Motion 48: To reschedule the next Committee meeting for 2pm to allow for an hour with the Liquor Licensing Consultant. 6.8. Orientation 2016 The Clubs Expo at Orientation will occur over two days, as per usual. There will be no performances as the costs have increased significantly. Communications requested that clubs not hold events in O-Week, but this was dismissed by the Office Bearers and Office Bearers-elect, who have suggested that an Orientation Guide for Events be made detailing club events. Discussion about having ipads set up with information and expression of interest for clubs at the Expo. 6.9. Grant Cap Motion 49: That the Grants Cap be increased to $3000. 6.10. T-Shirts Seconder: Gulsara Kaplun Motion 50: To approve up to $300 from budget line Special Projects for the purchase of new Clubs & Societies T-Shirts for volunteers. 7.
