Ben Respress, Chair Vacienta Respress, Co-chair Two Houston County graduating seniors will each receive a $1,000 scholarship. The chapter s 3-fold purpose in awarding these scholarships is to 1) recognize graduating seniors for outstanding achievement, 2) provide assistance for continuance of exemplary school work beyond secondary school and 3) to enhance interest in enrollment for further study at Albany State University.

Jaelicia Bibbs Perry High School Jaelicia is the daughter of Alicia Gilmore. She graduated from Perry High School on May 28, 2010 with a 3.82 GPA. She plans to attend Albany State University this fall to pursue a degree in Biology. Jaelicia has actively participated in various high school and community activities during her high school years. She was involved in the National Honor Society, track team, FBLA, FCCLA, gifted step team, school musical, Student Council and National Technical Honor Society. Additionally, Jaelicia was 12 th grade class president, named the Macon Telegraph s Golden Eagle Award winner for the technical category, and won regional and state level awards in shot put. Jaelicia has one sister and is a member of Davis Hill Baptist Church in Perry, GA. She is actively involved in her church s prayer and dance ministries and teaches youth in children s church. Her hobbies are singing, dancing and track and field. As a future Golden Ram, Jaelicia plans to be a member of the ASU Golden Ram s track team. After graduating from ASU, she plans to attend medical school and then achieve her life goal of becoming a doctor.

Tammy Nottingham Warner Robins High School Tammy is the daughter of Lizzie Haslem. She graduated from Warner Robins High School on May 29, 2010. She plans to attend Albany State University this fall to pursue a degree in Biology. Tammy has been actively involved in various high school and community activities during her high school years. She was involved in FFA, ROTC for three years, student office assistant, READ Foundation Summer Academy and other community activities. Tammy earned ROTC leadership participation awards and was named Homecoming Queen by her 9 th grade peers. She has been described as a bright, energetic, compassionate and genuinely a well rounded individual by her teachers. Tammy has two sisters and two brothers. She s a member of Resurrection Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA where she is involved in the choir, usher and nursery ministries. Her hobbies are singing, dancing and working with youth and senior citizens in the community. After graduating from ASU, she plans to attend medical school and attain her life s goal of becoming a doctor.
