Parents and Summer Recreation Participants: PARKERS PRAIRIE AREA SUMMER RECREATION 2018 Again this year, the Parkers Prairie School District is making possible a Summer Recreation Program. Resident/Open Enrolled Students Next years 1 st -2 nd graders Baseball/Softball No travel $25 $35 Next years 3 rd grade Girls/Softball No travel $25 $35 Nest years 3 rd grade Boys/Baseball Travel $35 $45 Next years 4 th -8 th graders Baseball/Softball Travel $35 $45 Volleyball $10 $15 Basketball $10 $15 Family Maximum $75 $100 Non-Resident Students These fees are used for the following: Summer Rec. T-shirt, to provide transportation, pay for equipment and to provide supervision for the activities. We will not exclude any child from participation in Summer Recreation due to an inability to pay the total fee. If the Summer Recreation fee is a problem for your family, please contact the District Office to make other payment arrangements. Make checks payable to Parkers Prairie Summer Recreation Program. The goal of this program is student participation. All participants will be given an opportunity to be involved in all activities they choose to participate in. The emphasis is on skill, exposure, development and having fun. We will not tolerate foul or abusive language or unsportsmanlike conduct from any of the participants. Parents and others who are observing as spectators are asked to set a good example for our young participants by cheering good play regardless of who makes it and showing encouragement for those who need it. Parents and spectators are expected never to challenge an umpire or coach. We want to develop good sportsmanship and character traits in our student participants. All students participating in the Summer Athletic Program must have their parents sign the attached consent and registration form. Naturally this schedule is subject to change. The baseball and softball game schedule is attached. Weather related announcements will be sent out by our Instant Alert system. GIRLS PRACTICE SCHEDULE Girls Rinky Dink Softball (next years 1 st -3 rd graders) (June 4 July 11) Practice will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m 10:00 a.m. at the field behind the High School. They do not play any out of town games. All players should have a glove. On rainy days practice will be from 10:00-11:00 in the High School Large Girls Pee Wee Softball (June 4 July 10) (All traveling teams will have practice on Tuesday, June 5 th ) Next years 4 th & 5 th grades practice on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. 11:00 p.m. at the City Park field. Game days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. For the game schedule, please refer to the Summer Rec. SUMMER RECREATION REGISTRATION Parkers Prairie 2018 This program is designed for the purpose of physical and social development, as well as for the enjoyment of our youth. The staff has been carefully selected to help our young people mature in areas of teamwork, leadership, cooperation, dedication and loyalty.
