Art. 1. Organisation An International Olive Oil Competition will be organized in the town of San Remo (Italy) in order to promote and develop high quality extra virgin olive oils. It will be held on 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th of June 2018 and will be called MOOOIC Masters of International Olive Oil Competition. The Competition, organized by the Masters of Olive Oil Org, aims at promoting the knowledge and the use of extra virgin olive oil in a correct, healthy and positive diet, spreading the culture of olive oil and informing consumers about its benefits for our health. Art. 2. Mission MOOOIC Masters of International Olive Oil Competition is an international competition of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (OEVO / EVOO) organized in order to achieve the following objectives: spread the knowledge of Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the world and highlight its positive aspects; reward the best extra virgin olive oils which take part in the competition coming from any area; promote and disclose the nutritional benefits of extra virgin olive oil through mass-media; contribute to the diffusion of the OEVO / EVOO and encourage its use in international markets focusing the main marketing strategy on the exceptional quality of the extra virgin olive oil produced in various parts of the world; promote an increasingly greater awareness of the consumption of extra virgin olive oil in Italy, in the area of the Mediterranean and all around the world; illustrate the nutritional benefits of extra virgin olive oil in the Mediterranean diet and in a healthy diet in general; promote the winning companies in particular (and all the participants who have been able to produce an extra virgin olive oil to a high standard) among consumers, distributors, importers, retail chains in international markets and in the media; encourage and increase the consumption of high quality international extra virgin olive oil by trying to create a consensus of favorable opinion that can be influential in the media; publish an online guide of the Winning Companies on the website https://mastersofoliveoil.org/ on a dedicated page "map of the winning companies of MOOOIC 2018" and of the participating companies whose samples have passed a rating of 75/100 in the unquestionable judgments of the Jury. 1 di 10

Art. 3. Stages The participation procedures to the MOOIC Competition and the evaluating sessions will take place according to the following timetable: Registration Early Booking opens February 28 th and closes April 20 th : In this phase it is possible: to send in samples after paying the registration fee. February 27 th to April 20 th : official opening of the period of sending samples of OEVO / EVOO to the Competition MOOOIC. After this period normal subscriptions will be open until May 20 th and May 31 st is the deadline for receiving samples. The samples received after this date will not be accepted in the competition. The Organization may take in consideration only exceptional cases. In any case entry fees will not be refunded as the organization cannot be considered responsible if the samples arrive after the entry deadline. However, such samples will be kept and considered separately from the competition; Send in the competition samples (see registration form). Pay the registration fee (see payment method). send the EVOO samples registered in the competition (see sample submission). 31 st May : closing date for entries for the competition MOOOIC. On 6 th, 7 th, 8 st and 9 th June testing and tasting sessions will be performed by a jury of experts who will evaluate all the olive oils and classify them according to the methods of the International Olive Oil Council (IOOC). On June 10 th A group of experts from all over the world, members of the international jury, will publicly taste samples of the winning oils at the premises indicated by the organization and will give their opinion of the products. Art. 4. Products admitted to MOOOIC ONLY extra virgin olive oils included in the following categories are allowed to enter the competition: A) Extra virgin olive oil Monovarietal / Monocultivar. The varieties, which can compete, must be published in the database of the Institute for the enhancement of wood and tree species (Olive 2 di 10

Germplasm Olea europaea L.), available at the Internet address: http://www.oleadb.eu/. It is a new database where information on the varieties of olive trees grown all over the world can be found. B) Extra Virgin Olive Oil Blend (Blend: consisting of two or more varieties WHICH MUST BE DECLARED ON THE APPROPRIATE FORM WHEN YOU SIGN UP). In addition, the OEVO / EVOO will be registered by the competitor who sent it as: C) Extra virgin olive oil from conventional / integrated cultivation. D) Extra virgin olive oil from organic farming. Or: E) Extra virgin olive oil with designation of origin (PDO / PGI). Extra virgin olive oils from all over the world which have commercial packaging and labelling according to the law of their country of origin and have a copy of written documents classifying the merchandise category of extra virgin olive oil. These documents can be requested by the Organization at any time. By submitting the application form for participation in the 2018 International Competition MOOOIC it is implied that participants have accepted these terms and conditions and accept the final evaluation by the panel of expert tasters members of the jury. PLEASE NOTE The company/firm that registers one or more oils in the Competition MOOOIC 2018 must have a copy of minimum reporting standards for chemical analysis per sample (relating to free fatty acids, peroxide, acid, spectrophotometry, etc.) completed no more than 180 days prior to submission of the samples. The declared parameters for extra virgin olive oils must be in accordance to the method COI / T.20/DOC. and in accordance with the European Union (Reg. Ce 2568/91.; Reg. Esec UE n. 1348/2013). The Organisers reserves the right to: 3 di 10

- ask at any time up to 60 days after the end of the Competition copies of the analyses on the sample/s registered in the competition; - have chemical analysis made by a proven technical committee in the field of the analysis of olive oils. Art. 5. Admission MOOOIC 2018 is open to any company or organization: Olive growers, Manufacturers, Olive Oil Mills, Cooperatives and Producer organizations, Bottlers/Packagers, Associations of producers, Traders (Exporters, Importers and Traders of olive oil) responsible for a registered trademark or brand in the market. All participants must certify the origin of the oil they send to the competition through appropriate documentation at the request of the organizers. All samples must be labelled in accordance with the laws of the country of origin. They also need to: come from a homogeneous lot (minimum volume of 1,000 liters); be bottled or packaged in containers with a volume of no more than 1.0 liter. be accompanied by the documents of a chemical laboratory establishing the qualification of merchandise or by a self-declaration written by the company manager/supervisor who registers the samples in the competition. Art. 6. Registration The samples of OEVO / EVOO registered in the Competition must be sent by express courier, or delivered directly no later than May 31 st, 2018, with the required documents and registration forms of the samples (see registration form), together with the payment receipt (see payments), (chemical analysis/ self-declaration ) and commercial invoice. Every document must be duly printed and signed. Any company wishing to participate in the competition may enter no more than a sample of extra virgin olive oil for each category at risk of exclusion from the competition. Entry fee : In ( ) Euro: 250.00 for each type / category of oil sent (sample). For any changes in the registration fees will be valid as published on https://mastersofoliveoil.org/. 4 di 10

All registration fees must be made payable to MOOOIC when completing the application form, as stated in Article 7. All participants will receive a confirmation e-mail certifying the registration and the timely receipt of the samples. All registration fees will be retained by the organization and will not be returned in case the samples are sent and / or arrive after the entry deadline May 31 st. The organization may decide, at any time and unilaterally, to cancel the event MOOOIC Masters of International Olive Oil Competition. In that case, they will return to the participating companies only the registration fees paid. In no case the samples sent to the competition will be returned. Art. 7. Entry fee and payment Payment for the registration fee 2018 to Masters of International Olive Oil Competition edition 2018 Sanremo (ITALY) is due by bank transfer, or by the format, which can be found on our website. No other form of payment for Competition MOOOIC will be accepted. Samples received with incomplete payment will not be considered for the selection. Art. 8. Shipping instructions Please address every sample/every entry of oil registered in the Competition to: Hotel Nazionale Best Western - Via Giacomo Matteotti, 3, 18038 Sanremo (IM), specifying in the address C.O. Office Competition MOOOIC 2018 no later than May 31 st. Submit 3 (three) bottles or other food storage containers with a capacity of 500 ml / 750 ml / 1 litre or 4 (four) bottles of 250 ml. Any exceptions must be specifically requested by mail and authorized by the Chairman of the competition. Enclose with every bottle or container of the samples: either a copy of self-declaration classifying the product in the merchandise category of extra virgin olive oil or the documents of a chemical laboratory establishing the qualification of merchandise. each bottle must be labelled according to the country of origin s law. 5 di 10

Enclosed with the extra virgin olive oils registered in the competition: an invoice mentioning the number of each type of bottle, at the price of 1.00 (one euro) per bottle/value for customs purposes only 1 per bottle/sample; or an invoice declaring no commercial value / products not for sale, samples without commercial value. We recommend a Door To Door Service Express Courier. Shipping/transportation costs, including customs charges or sanitary duties up to the point the organization receives the samples are the responsibility of the participants. MOOOIC Masters of Olive Oil International Competition in any case will not pay extra charges for shipping (we recommended a door to door Service Express courier). We recommend referring to the entry form and following the registration and participation procedures. From the receipt of the samples until their presentation to the jury of tasters, they will be stored in a correct and appropriate way, to ensure the integrity of the product/the product quality and consistency. certified chemical laboratory analysis (UV, Peroxide, FFA)/self-declaration; Our organization staff will check all the information related to each registered product, of which the participant takes full responsibility for. They will verify if the sample complies with all the regulations and if it is registered in the competition. Each samples admitted to the competition will be assigned with a alphanumeric code and the original label will be entirely covered to make the sample anonymous. Then the sample will be classified in its specific category. The evaluation form we use is based on the recommendations and method of IOC (International Olive Oil Council ), modified and customized by the technical committee for MOOOIC Masters of International Olive Oil Competition and ranges from 0 to 100 points. Art. 10. Jury The technical committee of the competition will select the jury and the members of the panel of experts. The total number of international judges who will taste the extra virgin olive oils depends on the amount of samples submitted to the competition. The jury is made up of minimum 8 experts in charge of tasting the oils and they will be chaired by the Panel appointed by the Panel Chairman of the Competition The President and the Head Specialist of MOOOIC will preside over the Competition. In order to maintain the highest level of OBJECTIVITY, no judge will taste extra virgin olive oils produced by companies in which he/she him/herself or members of his/her family, have a specific economic interest (producers, distributors, packers, etc.). For this purpose, all judges are required to provide a statement showing whether or not they have any involvement/commitment with the olive industry. If one or more judges are involved, they will be asked to judge the samples for which there is no conflict of interests. Art. 11. General results and Awards All the winners will be informed by e-mail and will be able to see the results on the website of the Competition MOOOIC - www.mastersofoliveoil.org. This will be the only official announcement of the awards and the quality of the product recognized by the official panel of the Competition MOOOIC. A technical data sheet and a description of the oil sent to the Competition will be sent to each company with information about 7 di 10

its position in the final ranking and the points scored, feedback notes by the jury providing a description of the product The competition will have one main category (including Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere) with 24 International Prizes. Top 3 scores of each category (Low Fruity, Medium Fruity, High Fruity) (Total 9); Top 3 Highest score of each type/category (Monovarietals, Blends, DOP/IGP, Organic) (Total 12); Top 3 scores on an all-in-category list. Each product score will be evaluated by a algoritm to have a standard score (calculated on the maximum score that can be achieved on a specific category related to the score of 100) (Total 3); A special Top 3 award will be assigned to Olive Oils of the region/country hosting MOOOIC. For year 2018 the region is Liguria, Italy (Total 3). A single OEVO/ EVOO can be awarded multiple prizes. Each awarded company will be able to download from our site both diploma and stickers prize certifying their achievement. Both diploma and Stickers (adhesive reproduction of the obtained shield certifying the award category) will be offered for sale at the price of 100.00 per 1,000 stickers not divisible (Shipping expenses excluded)). The quality awards stickers represent a marketing and advertising tool to boost sales and to build consumer and trade awareness of extra virgin olive oil and offers huge marketing opportunities for the company- If the winning company wants to print the award straight on its label, please ask for an estimate e-mailing: labels@mastersofoliveoils.org The use of stickers may only refer to the submitted product which has received an award on the declared volumes upon registration to the Competition. EVERY OTHER USE IS FORBIDDEN. Each awarded Oil will have a video hosted on our YouTube channel which can be embedded on Company site and/or printed on Oil label via QR code. 8 di 10

Art. 12. Legal Approach The technical committee of the Competition MOOOIC reserves the right to analyze the Extra Virgin Olive Oil winner of the competition, by sending a sample to a laboratory to ensure its commercial conformity. A sample of all winning oils (one or more bottles) will be stored/kept by the President of the competition for 30 days after the conclusion of the Competition in order to eventually subject them to analysis and controls. Only after that date, all stored samples can be used to promote and enhance the quality of OEVO / EVOO in schools, academies, exhibitions, public or private activities aimed at spreading the culture of olive oil and its promotion. The company or the single participant is responsible for all the details reported on the registration form and on the invitations. The technical Committee of the Competition has the right to verify the authenticity of the statements. Each company which takes part in the Competition with one or more samples releases the Organization of MOOOIC 2018 from any liability whatsoever arising out of or relating to false or incorrect statements given at the moment of entering the competition, completing the relevant forms and sending samples. ASSESSMENTS AND DISPUTES: Please note under no circumstances a second test of the sample will be carried out, because the decisions of the jury are incontestable AS ACCEPTED/acknowledgeD IN SIGNING THE Registration form IN THE COMPETITION MOOOIC 2018 AND ITS RULES AND REGULATIONS. Please Note that Participants in the MOOOIC olive oil Competition, hereby acknowledge having read these regulations and undertake to comply fully with their clauses. The user will ensure, that no confusion arises with other products, which did not receive such a shield. It is illegal to reproduce or counterfeit the name, the logo of the Competition, the stickers and the award certificate. The award certificate, the name and the logo of the Competition can be used freely only by winning companies. All violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. In the event of a dispute arising there from any legal claim that may arise from participation in the Competition, this shall be resolved under Italian law, under the jurisdiction of IMPERIA (Italy), regardless of the nationality of the participant. 9 di 10
