Press Release HKHS Chief Executive Officer Wong Kit-loong said, In the face of the ageing population in Hong Kong, the Housing Society embarked on elderly housing projects at the end of the 90 s, providing an innovative ageing-in-place solution to the elderly. To encourage the new generation to explore the topic of Cross-generation Harmony from different perspectives, the Housing Society launched its first Microfilm Competition for Secondary Schools this year. We hope that the competition could initiate discussions among the youngsters and arouse public awareness over the issues of ageing population and inter-generational communication. To prepare the students for the competition and familiarise them with the issue of ageing population, HKHS arranged tours for the contesting teams to visit the Housing Society Elderly Resources Centre and MIND-Friendly Home Exploration Centre last November, along with a workshop on microfilm production hosted by veteran film practitioners. All the winning entries are available for viewing on HKHS website (http://microfilm.hkhs.com).
