Below is a small selection of projects that demonstrate how this partnership is leaving a positive legacy in our communities. North Uist Primary School, Outer Hebrides Improved education facilities for a close-knit community Three primary schools merged into one for Western Isles Council Gaelic-speaking site team >73% local labour force (within 20 miles) Managing local sensitivities was vital to the success of the project, and our site team integrated fully into this remote island community. We provided a range of work experience and apprenticeship opportunities, and helped a local contractor to diversify his business and employ full-time staff. Cuningar Loop Woodland Park, Rutherglen Transforming a wasteland into a vibrant community oasis Saltire Community Award 2017 15-hectare site Annickbank Innovation Campus Extending office capacity to attract business Two office pavilions offering space between 500 sq m and 1500 sq m High-quality, flexible office space, built to BREEAM Excellent standards The project consisted of two multi-storey office blocks that build upon an earlier phase (which also consisted of two offices), extending the capacity of the business park in Irvine Bay s i3 Enterprise Area. The offices are built to an exceptionally high standard and are flexible enough to meet the needs of potential businesses that North Ayrshire will attract to the area. Commonwealth Games Legacy Project This regeneration project saw the Cuningar Loop site transformed from a vacant, derelict and unusable stretch of land into a popular community green space, where local people and visitors can access and enjoy the natural environment. The Albus, Glasgow Attracting new business to Glasgow s east end 51 weeks work experience 65% local labour force (within 10 miles) On behalf of Clyde Gateway, we developed this award-winning, landmark office building as part of the Commonwealth Games legacy that is regenerating the east end of Glasgow. A comprehensive environmental strategy underpins the building to reduce energy consumption and address carbon emissions. Tayview Primary School, Dundee Investment in education for the community of Menzieshill Two primary schools and one nursery merged into one Designed for an expected roll of 650 primary pupils 70 full time equivalent (FTE) three- to five-yearolds, and up to 30 FTE two-year-olds. Actively involving the local community in the creation of this new school was important. Children saw the construction process first hand and contributed to the logo design. We also offered employment and work experience opportunities to local people. Work included a new service road, easy access path to the nearby waterfall, play features and a wildlife hide. The Lodge is now well placed to meet the challenges of the next 50 years. Raploch Regeneration, Stirling Creating a place to be proud of Supports Stirling Council s City Development Framework The Raploch area has suffered from deprivation and poverty issues for decades. 50 of the 313 new homes in the project will be delivered through a partnership between Robertson, Scape Group and Stirling Council. Our latest projects Pennywell and Muirhouse town centre regeneration A new lease of life for an urban community Multi-phased regeneration New public realm and civic square This project is set to transform the identity of this area in the north of Edinburgh. In this latest phase, a holistic approach to mixed-use design comprises retail space and commercial units focussed around a new public realm civic square. Sidlaw View Primary School, Dundee Designing in partnership 400 pupils 100 FTE nursery places nine places for babies / under two year olds This two-stream, two-storey primary also has a co-located nursery and unit for young mothers attending the adjacent Baldragon Academy. Our co-located preconstruction team worked in Dundee City Council s Capital Projects Office, helping the client develop their brief and supporting the design team. We continue to work in partnership on further primary school projects being delivered through Scape. Red Tree Shawfield, Glasgow Regeneration that goes beyond physical transformation 3,780sqm Grade A office building, with 40 business suites from 10 to 168 sq m Conference room, meeting rooms, breakout spaces, kitchen areas, a café and a 70-space car park Once finished, this will become the first building at Magenta, which is a new business district launched by Clyde Gateway. The building aims to attract businesses in target sectors such as media, communications, IT, training and engineering. The project will create 250 new jobs as well as apprenticeships and work experience opportunities during the construction period. Edinburgh Small Sites Integrated housing and public realm Seven sites, over 200 homes Developments on constrained plots within established communities Edinburgh City Council s 21st Century Homes Small Sites Programme will see new affordable and midmarket rent properties delivered across the north and west of the city.
