Three advisory boards will be formed for Institute: a) International advisory board; b) Executive advisory board; c) Technical advisory board. Planning and cooperation will be pursued with international and national institutions to build collaborative partnerships with the goal of synergistic approaches to research and training.

Implementation Plan The Institute will report to the COS Proposed Institute will work closely with existing GMU academic units and research centers. Three advisory boards will be formed for the Institute: a) International advisory board; b) Executive advisory board; c) Technical advisory board. Planning and cooperation will be pursued with international and national institutions to build collaborative partnerships with the goal of synergistic approaches to research and training. Efforts to develop both academic and research program activities in the Institute, including cooperative programs, will begin in ernest.

Next Steps Ask for any additional comments on current draft proposal November 5, 2012. Prepare second draft of proposal for Global Institute and send to steering committee for review by December 10, 2012. Future Meeting -
