Page 2 de 11 Regulation of the EDPR University Challenge 2017 - POLAND Article 1 Objective 1. EDPR University Challenge 2017 - Poland is an initiative of EDP Renewables (EDPR), which aspires to contribute for the excellence of academic development of students at bachelor s and master s level degree (first and second cycle of Bologna). 2. The objective of the competition is to award the academic and scientific aspects of the projects presented by the participant groups and to promote a larger proximity between universities and the business world, in accordance with the requirements of the Bologna process. Article 2 The competition regulation 1. The EDPR University Challenge 2017 - Poland is ruled by the present regulation, being the Jury ruler on its interpretation, application and resolution. 2. The selection criteria and the basis of the decision, including the awarding of the bests projects, are of the exclusive competence and knowledge of the initiative promoter. It is not possible to contradict the decisions of the Jury, since these are definitive and indisputable. 3. The EDPR University Challenge 2017 - Poland single promoter is EDP Renewables. EDP Renewables reserves the right of not awarding the winning prize, if it is considered that the submitted projects do not comply with the pretended quality requirements. 4. English is the official language of the EDPR University Challenge 2017 Poland. Official matters, doubts and project development shall only be written in English.

Page 3 de 11 Article 3 Category of Prizes 1. The EDPR University Challenge 2017 - Poland will award the best project 15.000 PLN, and the correspondent coordinating professor (if applicable) will be awarded 5.000 PLN. 2. The EDPR University Challenge 2017 - Poland will award the second best project 10.000 PLN, and the correspondent coordinating professor (if applicable) will be awarded 2.500 PLN. 3. The EDPR University Challenge 2017 - Poland will award the third best project 5.000 PLN, and the correspondent coordinating professor (if applicable) will be awarded 1.250 PLN. 4. All other participating groups will receive a certificate of participation or finalist certificate (if it is the case), in order to recognize their commitment and effort in the competition. 5. In certain cases, there also is a possibility of offering a period of internship to the winning group of students, if the students profile satisfies the expectation of the Human Resources department and if such internship is possible at a given time. Article 4 Competition duration and project delivery deadline 1. The EDPR University Challenge 2017 - Poland will be carried out during the two semesters of the academic year 2016/2017. For each semester, there is a period of approximately 3 months for the development of the projects. 2. The first period takes place during the first semester of the year 2016/2017. The deadline to send the enrolment form is November 6 th, 2016. The deadline to submit the projects is January 15 th, 2017. 3. The second period takes place during the second semester of the year 2016/2017. The deadline to send the enrolment form is April 2 nd, 2017. The deadline to submit the projects is June 4 th, 2017. 4. Projects from both periods will be evaluated together after the end of the second period.

Page 4 de 11 Article 5 Scope 1. In this year s edition, the EDPR University Challenge 2017 - Poland has as main topic EDPR - Renewable energies that move you. 2. Topic of the projects to be developed should address the renewable energies and be focused on EDP Renewables business reality. There are four categories into which projects may apply. Professors and students by themselves shall decide into what topic they want to focus their projects: Environmental concerns vs. local development; Innovative projects which will lead to increased usage of renewable energy sources with an engineering or management approach; Study of technological innovations that enable increases in efficiency of renewable energy production processes; Business plan or marketing strategy for increasing awareness of renewable energy and/or promotion of the EDPR Renewables activity in Poland. Article 6 Presentation of the competition at the Universities 1. During October/November of 2016, and February/March of 2017 the presentations concerning the competition will be carried out in the universities. These presentations are aimed at clarifying the scope and the objectives of the EDPR University Challenge 2017 - Poland, and at motivating students enrolment. Article 7 Enrolment requirements 1. The students interested in participating in the competition, must comply with the following requirements, previously to the enrolment deadline: a) Candidates have to be necessarily attending a degree in Poland at Bachelor s or Master s Levels, in courses related to the areas of Engineering, Management, Economics, Marketing or Communication. Candidates

Page 5 de 11 attending other courses levels as for example PhD are not accepted to be enrolled on the EDPR University Challenge 2017 Poland; b) Candidates that do not satisfy the previous paragraph in relation to the areas of Engineering, Management, Economics, Marketing or Communication can still be accepted, if they show relevant knowledge for the development of the subjects proposed for their project; c) Candidates should organize themselves in teams, with a minimum of two and a maximum of five members; d) Members of each team can study in the same university or in different universities; e) Preferentially, groups should be supervised by a coordinating-professor, though this requirement is not mandatory in order to apply and participate in the competition; f) Contestants may only take part in one project per edition (two semesters); g) If duly justified, the operational support team may accept a different number of participants. Such exceptions may include individual participants (something which is advised against due to the volume of work involved). Article 8 Enrolment procedures 1. Enrolments that satisfy the above mentioned requirements should be formalized by filling the enrolment application form available under below link: http://generationedpr.edpr.com/universitychallenge/pl/#/university_challenge/re gistration 2. The enrolment should be made during the designated registration period. 3. Together with the enrolment form, the following documentation should be submitted: Photocopy of student card or proof of enrolment in the university, at the academic year 2016/2017. 4. The above mentioned documents are essential to participate in the competition, and should be scanned and submitted into the website according to the respective deadline 1 st semester, November 6 th, 2016 and 2 nd semester, April 2 nd, 2017. 5. Compliance with enrolment procedures determines the acceptance by the participants, with no reservations or conditions, of the terms and regulations of this

Page 6 de 11 competition, as well as the authorization for the authenticity and compliance checking of the submitted documentation. Article 9 Monitoring Procedure 1. Groups will receive operational support during the development of their projects through a monitoring procedure. It is intended to bring EDPR and the competing groups, assisting them in the development of their projects. 2. Within monitoring procedure groups are expected to produce a project fact sheet and may conduct a brief feedback session if they require to. a. Project fact sheet is a brief written description of the project including the elected project theme, its objectives and methodology. Groups must fill and submit the project sheet on EDPR University Challenge Poland website, no later than 2 weeks after registration. After receiving the fact sheet, the operational support team might accord some guidelines to the team if it decides that it is necessary. b. A feedback session is an organized online call between operational support team and each participating group. It is supposed to take place no later than 6 weeks after registration. 3. Fulfillment of the monitoring process is mandatory for all participating teams. 4. This feedback pretends to work as guidance and orientation for the project teams. Still, it is not mandatory that the groups follow the suggestions presented by the operational support team. 5. The submission of the project sheet is required for all the groups involved in the EDPR University Challenge 2017 Poland. Noncompliance with this requirement results with project exclusion. 6. If they wish, and in case of any specific doubt or information need, the group may contact the operational support team at any time during the competition. Article 10 Project Submission 1. Projects should be submitted in PDF file format in English language. As guidance it is suggested that the projects do not exceed 35 pages in word, excluding appendixes.

Page 7 de 11 It is recommended that the projects presented should be normalized to Times New Roman font, size 12 and 1.5 line spacing. 2. Projects should include a written summary in Polish and English with a minimum of 1.000 and a maximum of 1.500 characters, including spaces. 3. The report submission should be made through the website: http://generationedpr.edpr.com/universitychallenge/pl/#/university_challenge/pr oject_submittal 4. PDF file must be less than 25 Mb in size. If the project is composed of various documents, the group may choose to upload a ZIP file containing all the relevant files and send to the e-mail address edpruniversitychallenge.pl@premivalor.com 5. If the group decides to include supporting files (audio or video) whose size exceeds the 25Mb limit, files must be submitted with the support of available online platforms, for example: shared Youtube link or Wetransfer. 6. Until two days after the deadline for submitting the projects, groups must send the project summary sheet (two pages project summary). A template will be provided for that. 7. Project file names should be strictly alphanumeric. No special characters are allowed. 8. Any questions or difficulties concerning the procedures for the project submission should be sent to the email address: edpruniversitychallenge.pl@premivalor.com Article 11 Intellectual Property of the applicant projects 1. The award of the prize does not determine the transfer to EDPR, including third parties, of the patrimonial content of the intellectual property rights of the projects submitted. In all circumstances is respected the personal nature of the author rights, unless otherwise is stated by project authors. Article 12 Preliminary evaluation jury and final evaluation jury 1. The Jury of the preliminary evaluation of the projects will be composed by consultants of PremiValor Consulting with large experience on projects evaluation.

Page 8 de 11 2. This Jury will be responsible for the evaluation of all submitted projects. It will also choose the TOP15 best projects, which will pass to the final evaluation phase. 3. The attribution of the prize of the EDPR University Challenge 2017 Poland is of the exclusive competence of the Jury of the final evaluation that will award the best projects. The Jury will evaluate considering the basis that is referred in the following section, in general terms. 4. The Jury of the Final evaluation will be in charge of the final decision over the winning projects. It will be composed by the preliminary evaluation jury and, at least, two more members being one of them from EDP Renewables, linked to the area of renewable energies and another one from a reference public or private organization. Article 13 Projects evaluation basis 1. Projects will be evaluated according to the following basis: Definition of project goals and objectives; Methodology applied in the project development; Innovation and creativity; Adequacy of the project to the EDPR reality energy generation out of renewable sources; Project implementation possibility preparation of a project implementation plan; Viability the projects need to be economically viable; Quality of the project report; Quality of the presentation of the project at the award ceremony. 2. Depending on the type of the project presented, some evaluation criteria mentioned before may not apply.

Page 9 de 11 Article 14 Award Ceremony 1. The chosen groups with the 15 best projects should prepare a document in PowerPoint format to be presented in the Award Ceremony. 2. The Elevator Pitch objective is that participant groups have an opportunity to present their projects in the Award Ceremony to an audience composed by representatives of EDP Renewables, PremiValor Consulting, professors and students from different Polish universities, representatives of renewable energies associations, journalists, financial entities, private equity associations, business angels, etc. 3. Semifinalists groups are invited to make a brief 120 seconds presentation of their projects at the award ceremony. 4. The 5 finalist groups will have the possibility to make a more detailed presentation of 5 minutes. Alternatively, the organization of the award can decide over another format. 5. The students that should present must be the ones who developed the project. Coordinating professors will not be allowed to present the project at the ceremony. 6. The winning groups accept to participate in the award ceremony and allow that their image and details are disclosed as well as the academic institutions to which they belong with the objective of promoting the EDPR University Challenge. Article 15 Communication of the decision 1. After the analysis of all projects submitted on both academic periods (1 st and 2 nd semester), the decision to award the best projects of the EDPR University Challenge 2017 Poland will be communicated on a public ceremony. 2. Afterwards, the promoter will publish the names of the prize winners using chosen communication channels.

Page 10 de 11 Article 16 Project operational support team 1. All the process of launching, processing, interpreting the enrolment and execution of the competition is of the responsibility of the support team, which is composed by members of PremiValor Consulting (www.premivalor.com). PremiValor Consulting can be also contacted by the phone number + 351 217 820 316. Article 17 Entitlement to the Prize 1. The entitlement to the first, second and third prizes mentioned in Article 3, will be granted following the decision of the final evaluation jury. 2. The entitlement to the prize unquestionably nullified, with no need for specific formality, if one or more of the following situation applies: a) It is revealed that there are irregularities in the enrolment form or in the required documentation; b) There is evidence that the project has been developed by other person(s) which do not belong to the enrolled group; c) The projects submitted that are a plagiarism of other projects or works; d) The prize is not claimed within a maximum period of one year, from the date of the award ceremony; e) During the development of the EDPR University Challenge 2017 - Poland, the winning group is charged or accused in any criminal process instigated by the government or administrative process instigated by the students teaching institution, or also, if the awarded group has a conduct that may damage directly or indirectly the image of the promoter. Article 18 Change of the dates and terms fixed in this Regulation 1. The dates and/or terms set in this regulation can be modified by decision of the promoter of the EDPR University Challenge 2017 - Poland with no prior notice. In this case, new dates and/or terms will be publically disclosed in due time.

Page 11 de 11 Article 19 Final considerations 1. All cases omitted by this regulation shall be solved directly by the jury. 2. The application for the EDPR University Challenge 2017 Poland implies the acceptance of this Regulation. 3. The support to the award is provided by PremiValor Consulting, which should be addressed in all written requests for information and clarification through edpruniversitychallenge.pl@premivalor.com email address.
