For Google Maps, search Shea Center The application/approval process for all GSUSA/GSNNJ Awards is as follows: Requirements The candidate is a registered Girl Scout adult for the 2017/2018 Girl Scout year. The candidate has completed the criminal background check. The candidate has completed the appropriate training and demonstrated competence in the position. The candidate has performed at a level that exceeds the expectations of the position or service. Nomination Form The nomination form includes two specific questions that must be completed by someone familiar with the nominee s contributions to Girl Scouting. Endorsement Letters The required number of endorsement letters are completed indicating the person who nominated the volunteer. The endorsement letters must be submitted by a different person(s) other than the one who nominated the volunteer. The endorsement letter should describe, in approximately 100 words or less, why the writer supports the nomination and should include specific examples. Years of Membership The total years of a registered member (both girl & adult) at five-year intervals. 15 years & above are presented at the Adult Recognition event; 5 & 10 are presented at the Service Unit level. Submit to Nomination form & the required number of endorsement letters should be emailed to: adultrecognition@gsnnj.org Please note that if a volunteer is unable to attend the event, the recognition may be presented at the service unit level.
