IATA ADM MANAGEMENT AND REDUCTION AWARDS The IATA Agency Debit Memo (ADM) Management and Reduction Awards is a competition designed to introduce the ADM reduction solutions and best practices that the ADM Working Group brings to the industry while simultaneously allowing Airlines and Travel Agents to participate and win a prize. The Competition will feature a series of contests that relate to ADM Management & Reduction project initiatives, each will be assigned a respective Kudo recognition. This interactive experience aims to promote solutions that will help the industry reduce ADMs as well as learn how best to adopt these solutions into their daily business. Every IATA Accredited Travel Agent or Airline that participates in any of the IATA Billing and Settlement Plans, is invited to join the competition and earn a final prize that will lead to a future with less ADMs! 1 Selection Process- Kudos and how to participate The selection process for the Competition finalists will be based on a series of skill-based Kudos contests. The Competition will feature three contests that relate to ADM Management & Reduction initiatives, and each will be assigned a respective Kudo recognition. In addition, one overall participation Kudo will be awarded. Each Kudo and its respective selection criteria are detailed below: 1
Kudo: The Private Investigator Web Form to participate (link) Overview: To earn this Kudo, Entrants shall be required to explain a best practice put in place that identifies a credit card fraud case(s), and the actions taken by their respective travel agency or airline to prevent such fraud cases successfully. Entrants shall submit their entry using the Web Form Tool. Selection Criteria: The best example of a best practice put in place and used successfully will earn the Kudo. The submissions will be assessed internally by the IATA card payment team as well as the IATA ADM subject matter team. This Kudo will be assigned to the best example that demonstrates proactiveness and industry best practices in credit card fraud prevention. Kudo Winners: This Kudo will be awarded to one Airline Entrant and one Agent Entrant per each IATA region (the IATA regions being (a) China & North Asia; (b) Asia Pacific; (c) Africa & Middle East; (d) Europe; and (e) the Americas). Thus, up to ten Private Investigator Kudos will be awarded in total. Launch Announcement and Closing Date: Entrants will be notified regarding the launch of this contest by email in or around early March 2018, and the same communication will specify the closing date for submissions to this contest, which is projected to be in or around end of April 2018. Any submissions received after the closing date may be refused. Announcement of Winners: The winners of this contest will be announced in an email communication in conjunction with the launch of the subsequent contest. This communication is projected for or around end of April 2018. The winners names will be announced on April 2018. 2
Kudo: The Brave Explorer Contest will open on May 2018 Overview: To earn this Kudo, Entrants will be required to: 1) Review the Standard ADM Reason Codes list available on the ADM Working Group website (www.iata.org/adm); 2) Extract the most recent ADMs of their respective travel agency or airline over a one-month period, and identify undetermined ADMs from this sample that cannot be classified using the Standard ADM Reason Codes list; 3) Review the undetermined ADMs and identify one ADM category or subreason absent from the Standard ADM Reason Codes list; 4) Submit their entry via the Web Form Tool by describing the category/subreason identified as absent from the Standard ADM Reason Codes list along with two actual ADM examples of this category/sub-reason from the time period in question. Selection Criteria: This contest will be time-based the first Airline Entrant and the first Agent Entrant in each IATA region who will identify a valid ADM category or sub-reason absent from the Standard Reason Codes list will earn this Kudo. A valid ADM category/dub-reason is one that is confirmed to be absent from the existing Standard ADM Reason Codes list. A category/sub-reason that is simply described using different verbiage but the spirit of which is already captured in an existing category/sub-reason, will not be considered valid. Kudo Winners: This Kudo will be awarded to one Airline Entrant and one Agent Entrant per each IATA region. Thus, up to ten Brave Beaver Kudos will be awarded in total. 3
Launch Announcement and Closing Date: Entrants will be notified regarding the launch of this contest by email in or around end of May 2018, and the same communication will specify the closing date for submissions to this contest, which is projected to be in or around end of June 2018. Any submissions received after the closing date may not be accepted. Kudo: The Pioneering Policy Setter (Airline Entrants only) Contest will open on September 2018 *No Web Form entries required Overview: To earn the Pioneering Policy Setter Kudo, Airline Entrants will be required to update their respective Airline s ADM policy with a new ADM policy functionality that will be made available via BSPlink. Airline Entrants who take action by logging into their BSPlink account and updating their airline s ADM Policy with a new functionality will be identified via the BSPlink system log. There will be no additional submission or requirement to enter this contest or earn this Kudo. This Kudo is only available to Airline Entrants. Selection Criteria: This contest will be time-based - the first Airline Entrant in each IATA region who updates their respective Airline s ADM policy with the new functionality will earn this Kudo. Thus, up to five Pioneering Policy Setter Kudos will be awarded in total. The winners will be identified through the date stamp on IATA BSPlink system logs and no Web Form Tool entries will be required or accepted for this Kudo. Kudo Winners: One Airline Entrant per each IATA region for the Pioneering Policy Setter Kudo. Five kudos in total will be given out. Launch Announcement and Closing Date: Entrants will be notified regarding the launch of these completions by email in early September 2018, and the same communication will specify the closing date for submissions to this contest, which is projected to be in early October 2018. Kudo: The Pioneering Policy Detector (Agent Entrants only) Contest will open on September 2018 Overview: To earn the Pioneering Policy Detector Kudo, Agent Entrants are required to identify the new sections of the new ADM policy functionality made available via BSPlink and submit their submissions through the Web Form Tool. This Kudo is only available to Agent Entrants. Selection Criteria: This contest will be time based the first Agent Entrant in each IATA region who correctly identifies all of the new sections of the new ADM policy functionality will earn this Kudo. Thus, up to five Pioneering Policy Detector Kudos will be awarded in total. Kudo Winners: One Agent Entrant per each IATA Region for the Pioneering Policy Detector Kudo. Five kudos in total will be given out. Overall Participation Kudo: The Enthusiastic/ Creative Game Player Final Kudo that will be assigned on October 2018 Selection Criteria: This Kudo will be awarded to only one Entrant who has shown the highest level of engagement and participation during the Competition, and factors that may be taken into account include the number of competitions participated in and the amount of Kudos earned. Additionally, the selection criteria will include the creativity of submission(s), taking into account the most original and appropriate idea(s) presented by Entrants in view of the ADM Management and Reduction Project s purpose to create new solutions and establish best practices in this area. Kudo Winner: Only one Airline Entrant or one Agent Entrant who participated in the Competition and earned at least one Kudo. Winner announcement: The winners of the Airline Dynamic ADM Policy contests will be announced by email together with The Enthusiastic- Creative Game Player kudo winner as well as the announcement of the finalization of the program by mid-october. The winners names will be announced on October 2018. 7
2 Competition termination date The Competition is projected to conclude by or around mid-october. 3 Terms & Conditions Access the full Terms and Conditions document 4 Final Prize The final prize awarded to the final winner per the selection criteria described above will be a Customized ADM Company Profile (Company Profile), described as follows: An in-depth analysis of the winning Entrant s respective Agency or airline s ADM situation, including dashboards and statistics based on their the Agency or airline s ADM data extracted from BSPlink, and the Industry s Standard ADM Reason Codes; The Company Profile aims to assist that Agency or Airline to reduce its ADMs by identifying the main reasons causing such ADMs, as well as the specific areas to focus on in order to moderate the need for financial adjustments through ADMs; In addition, the Company Profile will provide a list of observations based on the solutions and best practices that have been established by the ADM Working Group. The Company Profile is a customized study offered as part of this Competition only, and is not available for purchase and has no monetary value. The final winner and prize will be announced by or around November 30, 2018 via an email communicated to all Entrants, as well as on the Recognition Program section of the ADM Working Group website (www.iata.org/adm). 8
