The excitement continues as we begin the second year of implementation of our international program, Launching New Dimensions of Service, under the stellar leadership of Soror Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson, Supreme Basileus. I remain confident that each soror will be engaged and committed to our organization. This year s theme, The Power of the Pearl Connection challenges us to exert our efforts and energy toward moving our sorority forward. Now that we have connected and checked the effectiveness of our Pearls through Purpose, Passion, Perseverance and Performance, I ask that members of the South Atlantic Region pledge yourselves to be steadfast and true to our beloved Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Let us move forward with the understanding that the perpetuity of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated rests solely on our shoulders. The host chapter Nu Delta Omega have worked tirelessly to plan a conference that will be beneficial and enjoyable to all. This weekend of fellowship and learning is designed to enhance our knowledge and awareness of the program, policies, and direction of our Alpha Kappa Alpha. The workshop presenters have worked diligently to provide information that will prepare us for successful execution of our international program, provide updated information of the membership intake processes and share an in-depth review of issues impacting us locally and nationally. As we convene, I look forward to strengthening our powerful bond that will enhance our sisterliness and service.
