The project is currently at the 5 th Phase of a 7 Phase process. Joyce reminded the group that while we will talk briefly about tactics, the purpose of today and tomorrow s session is to finalize the strategic priorities and associated KRAs. 4:33 p.m. - What We Heard (Part 1) Paul Benedetto presented the staff session and survey results. The session consisted of the extended leadership group and managers, while a broader group of staff members participated in the survey. 4:49 p.m. - What We Heard (Part 2) Joyce Tustian reviewed the feedback from the community visioning day and the group had a discussion on the day and the results. The group was asked what surprised them about the community feedback. 4:51 p.m. Coun. Terry Lazowski joined the session. 5:58 p.m. - Dinner Break 6:30 p.m. - Reconvene The group reviewed council s strategic priorities in light of the staff and community feedback.

A discussion on questionnaire charts ensued. 4:49 p.m. - Key Elements of Leduc Vision Review of vision elements articulated by Council members (as drafted by consultants). 4:59 p.m. - Confirming Strategic Priorities for the City of Leduc The group had a discussion on the 6 strategic priorities for the City of Leduc. 5:12 p.m. - Confirming and Prioritizing KRAs The group reviewed the initial key result areas generated by Council in February at their strategic planning session and those generated by the community at the visioning day. 5:50 p.m. - Councillor Bob Young joined the session 5:51 p.m. Dinner break 6:14 p.m. - KRAs Deep Dive The group confirmed the top 3-5 key result areas for each of the 6 strategic priorities. 6:15 p.m. - Councillor David MacKenzie left the session Community Character Support a successful farmer s market in the downtown area by 2016 Successfully host the 2016 Summer Games Plan and construct Phase 1 North Telford Park development by 2017 Refine and Implement elements of the Phase 2 Downtown Plan Invest in public art Community Wellness Increase waste diversion rate to 70% by 2018 Development of a Youth Engagement Strategy Understand social, health and community trends to maintain a strong and resilient community and provide appropriate programing and resourcing Establish community based programs to reach new residents Transportation Achieve meaningful commitments from partners on 65 th Avenue Interchange As the City grows expand of the C Line, including feeders, time, and frequency Represent Leduc s interest in AVPA review Regional Partnerships & Governance Strengthening relationships with key stakeholders in the Leduc region, including the Capital region, the City of Edmonton, School Boards and EIA. Review and assess regional collaboration studies 2015 Participate and influence the annexation process based on our principles
Economic Development Capturing the Economic Advantages of Proximity to the E.I.A. Explore joint development opportunities with regional partners 2015 2016 Develop a plan to market Leduc (tell our story) Implement Leduc competitive strategy Fiscal Sustainability Achieve 50% of potential new sponsorship revenue by 2018 Fostering all types of development that allows for a more sustainable, healthy residential/industrial assessment base. Finalize and implement fiscal sustainability plan 2015 Continual review of service efficiency and effectiveness 7:20 p.m. - Summary and Discussion of Results The group had a discussion on KRAs and noted that nothing appeared to be missing from the list. A prioritization discussion is to be done at a later date. This is the 2014 2018 strategic plan for the 2015 budget cycle. 7:41 p.m. - Review of Final Report Format Emphasis will be placed on pictures, white spaces and call-outs.
