Town of Apex Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Gift Catalog & Sponsorship Opportunities

Dear Potential Donor: This GIFT CATALOG was developed due to the numerous inquiries the department receives about the various ways interested citizens and participants can help improve the quality of the park experience or the experience in specific programs. Also, many inquire about ways they can provide a lasting testament and acknowledgement for friends or loved ones whom they want to honor in some small way. Over the years, many contributions have been made to various parks including benches, picnic tables, and trees. At the Halle Cultural Arts Center, many of the performing and work spaces bear the name of businesses and individuals who participated, through Citizens for Apex Parks, in the Second Century Campaign. This campaign, a public / private partnership, enabled the restoration and expansion of Apex s original Town Hall, built in 1912, into the current facility which is a cornerstone of our Historic Downtown. While this document certainly presents some wonderful opportunities for potential donors it is not intended to be all inclusive. If there is something that you would like to contribute or donate to the department which is not listed just let us know so it can be considered. Thank you for your interest in donating and for continuing to help make Apex THE PEAK OF GOOD LIVING. Sincerely, John M. Brown Director Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department

Sponsorships & More! Apex was recognized by Money Magazine as THE #1 PLACE TO LIVE IN AMERICA in 2015. The Town s quality of life was mentioned as one of the major factors that made Apex the special place it is to live, work, and play. In continuing our efforts to make Apex the best place in America to live, our department is constantly looking for ways to improve our parks and programs through sponsorships, donations, and organized volunteer efforts. If your business is looking for a great place to make a charitable contribution or focus advertising, or if you are part of a group looking to provide some service to the community, the Town has plenty of opportunities available. It s our commitment that Apex continue to enjoy its designation as THE #1 PLACE TO LIVE IN AMERICA for many years to come. Service Projects Apex has a long history of citizens and organizations volunteering to beautify and improve our community and the public parks and greenway system in Apex has been the recipient of many volunteer hours and projects. We welcome any group that wants to help with the upkeep of parks and greenways through efforts such as scout projects, the completion of required service hours, or the desire to simply help beautify and improve the Apex Community. For more information on these opportunities contact our Parks Maintenance Manager at 919-538-9384. Youth Team Sponsorships If you want exposure for your business or are just an individual who wants to contribute to the youth in Apex, what better way than to sponsor a team or league in our Youth Athletic Programs.
