She will also outline the importance of conducting clinical communication assessments and mapping the gaps in processes to improve patient, family and staff experiences. OBJECTIVES AND CEUS At the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to: Correlate LSBN s mission, vision and values to functions of the agency that support excellence in nursing regulation, practice and education; Gain a comprehensive understanding of what stress is, what effects stress has, and what can improve stress; Appreciate how the practices of Registered Nurses and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses are regulated and protect both patients and providers; Gain advanced knowledge of the ethics and standards of nursing practice, including performance outcomes from select LSBN departments; Discuss the struggle between balancing personal self-care needs with the demands of the workplace; Identify effective tools to help balance personal and professional issues; Demonstrate stress relief tools; Learn how to map the gaps in care team communication and workflow efficiency; Identify solutions that simplify processes and remove barriers to reconnect staff to purpose; Develop strategies to improve patient, family and care team communication and collaboration; and Discuss ways to restore human connections and optimize staff well-being.
