Lunch Talks Making every minute count is FOET s latest approach to talks at lunch time. Their monthly lunch talks on various engineering and technology topics which is to be given by lecturers specialising on specific areas kick started this month. This move is taken so as to enable members of the faculty to attend technical talks while having their lunch. Scheduled between 1.30pm and 2.00 pm with light lunch served, the first lunch talk was on the 28th of March 2018 and the topic was about the International Engineering Symposium 2018 at Kumamoto University in Japan. The Resurrection of the Robotic Arm Benson Steve Baridanaka, FOET s final year student built a robotic arm as his final year project which caught the attention of the students and faculty members. However, it was missing a few components that would make it function smoothly. Our very own robotic doctor came to the rescue and resurrected the arm, and he is non other than Dr Ery! A fantastic student-lecturer effort! The arm was displayed at the Sureworks Education Fair in which Linton participated in Midvalley Megamall earlier this month, and you guessed it right, it was a hit there too.
