Ocean Spirit Emercency First Aid Response has been established since 2 years in Péreybère. Our aim is to train Mauritians to save lives and offer help to those who need it in life threatening situations. This shall be done based on humanitarian thoughts in which the transfer of knowledge and skills acquisition on a professional yet personal way is guaranteed. All our instructors are qualified as emergency first response instructors and refresh their knowledge and skills each 24 months. Our instructors will create a non-stressful learning environment in which the students are able to learn on a easy and pleasant way. Modern medical equipment shall be used during the course and a special box with barriers for hygiene will be given to each student. Our courses, services & products Courses with international certification: Emergency First Response Primary care (CPR) Emergency First Response Primary care (CPR) teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. The course exist out of tree elements, knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise. Trough reading the manual and watching the dvd the needed skills and behavior are explained, each of the skills shall be demonstrated by the instructor and being practiced on a manikin. the skills shall be tested by a theory and practical exam. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and rescue breathing Conscious and unconscious Choking Serious bleeding management Shock management Spinal injury management Emergency First Response Secondary care (First Aid) covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening.
