Trade and Business with Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Update on the trade and business relationship the US has shared with ASEAN region with the US ASEAN Business Council. Singapore is the current Chair of ASEAN. U.S. in Singapore: Microsoft s Vision in Singapore and ASEAN Microsoft has been in Singapore for 28 years (since 1990). Since their arrival, Microsoft has seen Singapore as a strategic location for doing business in the region. We will look to Microsoft to tell us what it s like to do business in Singapore; what their priorities are for the city state and ASEAN region; and how they engage with the government on Singapore s Smart Nation initiative. U.S. in Singapore: How Expedia Stays Innovative Singapore is home to Expedia s regional headquarters as well as Expedia s first innovation lab in the region. The airline was ranked 2 nd best in the world in 2017 by aviation website Skytrax. The visit also includes a tour of Safety and Cabin Crew Training Facilities (Cabin evacuation trainer; training pool cabin mock ups; makeup and deportment training room if available).
