Maintenance Report September 2017 Along with routine maintenance, the following maintenance projects were started or completed in August: I. Courthouse: Installed electrical circuit for the ceiling mounted projector in Assembly Room. Collaborated with the IT Department to implement a new electronic maintenance request system. o The new system will allow us to update whoever generates a maintenance request, and will improve our ability to track open requests. 11. Sheriff's Department: Installed two concrete access boxes. These access boxes will provide easier access to the fiber optic cables running between the courthouse and the Sheriff's Department. Ill. EMS: Finished constructing the new bedroom in the Hayward EMS building. Provided the architect, who is working on the Ojibwa EMS building, with the site information he needed in order to proceed with the plan submittal process. o The Highway Department and Surveying were instrumental in helping us obtain the necessary information. IV. Airport: Delivered the new lawn mower to the airport on Thursday, August 31.

September 13, 2017 Highway Department Report Highway Commissioner o Paving and shouldering on County Road H has been completed. All that remains is to have pavement marking placed on the roadway. This will be coordinated with our other projects when they are completed. o Applications for the vacant Driver/Operator position in the Radisson Shop were reviewed and five people were selected for interviews. One of the five people was unwilling to relocate to within 30 minutes of the shop and another did not respond in time for an interview. Three applicants were interviewed and-the top candidate was unwilling to accept the starting wage. The decision was made to not offer the position to either of the two remaining applicants. o There is currently one employee off on a workers compensation injury. He had surgery performed and is scheduled to be reevaluated in 2 months and off work 3 months. We are currently working with workers compensation to have that employee return to light duty. o The crew has been replacing failed culverts (non-storm related) and various shoulder repairs throughout the county. o There are still 3 mowers out working on both state and county roads. o Our final paving project for the year will be paving County Road K from Tall Timber to the intersection of County Road B and County Road K. o Shop Foreman, Jay Sands and Foreman, Scott Vaverka attended the WCHA-LDG Annual Road School Convention in Wisconsin Dells on September 11-14, 2017.

L & L Aviation, INC. Sawyer County Management Report Sept. 2017 The month of August was another busy one at the airport. The Governor signed off on the mowing equipment. It's an impressive machine and should suit the airport needs for years to come. The Maintenance Department did a great job mowing this summer even though they had smaller equipment than what was required. Tim and his crew were up to the challenge and did an awesome job. THANKS The Governor has signed off on the snow removal equipment attachments. The Governor has YET TO sign off on the runway crack filling but we are still hoping to get that done this fall. Matt Messina gave us the information requested last week on the entitlement funding. The past 5 year's entitlements is broke down in the directives included in your packet. We look forward to working with the committee and Tom Hoff to discuss our lease negotiations.
