Vehicles in Camp We ask for your cooperation with keeping the vehicles out of the camping area. Only one vehicle at a time will be allowed at the camping area to drop off the troop equipment, all vehicles must be parked in the designated parking lot. Please plan ahead by loading all equipment in one or two vehicles. All participating units must carpool. There may be limited space for parking. All vehicles will be parked in designated parking areas for the weekend. Campsites Remember that all Boy Scout and Metropark rules and regulations apply and must be followed. No vehicles are allowed in the campsites. Only Troop trailers will be allowed. All vehicles must be parked in the designated parking areas. Venturing Crews are Welcome Venturing Crews are welcome to attend the Fall Unity Camp-o-ree. They can participate in all youth activities or assist us in putting on a GREAT program. Notes on the Fall Camp-o-ree Troops will be sharing lunch on Saturday with Webelos. Staff can help assign Webelos if no preference is given. Troops are also welcome to invite the Webelos to breakfast either day. Webelos must register separately from the Troops. All Webelos are invited to the Fast and Furious Feast and invited to camp in the designated Webelos area. If we do not have enough volunteers then we will not be able to run all of the stations. The success of this event relies on all of us taking part in planning and execution of the activities and events. When registering your contingent each Troop will be asked to create and/or man a station. Other than the Fast and Furious Feast meals are not provided. All units are to provide their own meals. Troops are welcome to invite Webelos to dine with them.

Cooking Competition There will be a youth competition (Patrols must register to compete) and an adult competition (adults must also register). All dishes and recipes must have a name and category (main course, dessert etc) that is clearly displayed at the time of judging. Names that refer to the event theme or Scouting are encouraged. Each patrol or adult will prepare a dish and turn in a patrol size portion to be judged. All entrées must have a recipe turned in with dish. Each recipe shall list all the ingredients, their amounts, and complete instructions for preparation, all in detail. The choice of the recipe and seasoning is a patrol/adult decision. Usage of pre-packaged, store-bought foods should be avoided. It is permitted that all seasonings and ingredients can be pre-measured and put in a plastic baggie. Dishes will be prepared on Saturday of Camporee. Dishes that are not prepared on site will not get full points. (Let s remember the Scout Law)ember the Scout Law. Each dish will be judged on originality, texture, flavor, smell, appearance, creativity, and use of theme. Each patrol will provide its own food, cooking tools and any supplies they need to prepare their dishes. Activities committee will not provide equipment or food. All entries will be taken to HQ, and presented for judging. Judging will take place from 5:00 to 5:30 PM, with prizes presented at the award ceremony. The decision of the judges is final. How do I register my Troop? Available after the May Program Kickoff. To Register online, go to http://greatlakescamporee.org, on that page there will be a link to the online registration.
