EXPORT GROW ACCESS CONNECT CONNECTIONS CONNECTING FOR GROWTH GROW SOMETHING BRILLIANT CAMPAIGN MINISTER ON THE MOVE IN CAMERA NI Chamber Connections, in ship with Ulster Bank, creates a network of local businesses who share common interests, goals and challenges; helping them to help each other and facilitating links to new markets. Programme support includes: A of regional events, held in companies across Northern Ireland, that bring together businesses under a common theme and enable peer to peer advice and learning Web support, signposting and information through NI Chamber s newly enhanced growth web portal Introductions to the Global Chamber network who are ideally positioned to support exporting companies whether entering the market for the first time or building connections on a post trade mission follow up visit One to one advice from experienced local businesses willing to share their own experiences. The programme includes five regional events per annum. The Connecting for Growth programme, in ship with Bank of Ireland UK, is designed to facilitate increased business between companies from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, enabling access to larger firms with procurement needs at Meet the Buyer events and improving sales opportunities through networking and advice. Programme participation includes: One to one pre-arranged appointments, where companies are able to make a pitch to large buying companies across a range of sectors Advice from key experts on a range of business themes, delivered in bite size sessions Facilitated networking, increasing cross border business opportunities. This initiative consists of an annual flagship cross border networking event as well as two Meet the Buyer events. The Danske Bank Export First programme, developed by NI Chamber, is a dynamic and unique platform of support which seeks to encourage and develop export activity, and ultimately economic growth in Northern Ireland, through the inspirational stories and shared learning of our successful exporters. New, aspiring and growing exporters have the opportunity to access leading business people, listen to how they have grown their businesses in international markets, and obtain advice on all aspects of commercial development through export. The 2016 programme consists of three Private Dinners and two Ministerial events. Growing Something Brilliant (GSB), in ship with Electric Ireland, is a campaign by NI Chamber that aims to inspire local business people to grow their business, employ more people and find new markets. NI Chamber believes that by Growing Something Brilliant we will develop our economy, under our own steam and driven by our own energy, commitment and ambition. Through inspirational stories, and by businesses helping each other the campaign aims to achieve the following objectives: to increase business confidence to inspire more businesses to set up and grow through innovation, leadership and export to help as many smaller companies as practical move successfully and profitably into export markets Now in its fourth year, the GSB Campaign has seen three major conferences and seven events with over 23 inspirational speakers and 2350 attendees. NI Chamber articulates the views and needs of our members to key decision-makers in local and central government, who consult us for feedback from the business community when setting policy locally and nationally. Additionally, our Quarterly Economic Survey in ship with BDO is a highly respected, authoritative piece of research which influences the Bank of England and Government decision-making. NI Chamber also provides members with opportunities to engage with Government directly via a number of events. For Access events, priority will be given to Growth and Corporate members. Minister on the Move, in ship with SSE Airtricity, is a of regional events with Ministers from the NI Executive, with each event a great local business. The Minister on the Move aims to address opportunities of growth around areas such as public procurement and share best practice from world class companies such as Caterpillar (NI) Limited, SDC Trailers Ltd and Randox Laboratories. The format for the events includes a ministerial address and an open forum for delegates to engage with the Minister and discuss pertinent issues regarding growth and what NI Executive can do to help grow the private sector. The host company then shares their success story as well as provide a tour of their facilities. The Oxford English dictionary defines In Camera as to be kept private or confined. The In Camera provides NI Chamber members with the opportunity to network and engage with top level Government officials in an intimate setting. It also provides the various departments with an opportunity to outline their roles, the current challenges they are facing and to engage with businesses in support of their key objectives. As it is in camera, nothing can be reported or attributed to any of the guests or speakers. As the guest list is limited, the events are enjoyable, stimulating and intimate occasions ensuring guests leave with all questions answered. Attending an in camera dinner will enhance your networking profile and build relationships by direct interaction and exchange of views with key speakers, as well as other NI Chamber members. Networking is the single most powerful marketing tool you can use to accelerate and sustain success for your business. NI Chamber, in ship with First Trust Bank, will continue the ever popular Networking Series throughout 2016, generously member companies right across Northern Ireland. The events attract 100+ delegates, enabling attendees to develop new and existing business contacts.

APRIL 2016 06/04 IN CAMERA TITANIC The Head of the NI Civil Service and Permanent Secretary of OFMDFM Malcolm McKibben will be joined by David Sterling, Permanent Secretary for the Department of Finance and Personnel, Leo O Reilly, Permanent Secretary for the Department of the Environment and Derek Baker, Permanent Secretary for the Department for Employment and Learning for the second In Camera dinner of 2016. Limited to 40 guests, this intimate setting allows guests direct interaction and the opportunity to exchange their views with the Permanent Secretaries during dinner. Be sure to book onto this event as it promises to fill up quickly. 12/04 GSB LEADERSHIP THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL STADIUM AT WINDSOR PARK 8.30AM - 10.00AM In a that focusses on the importance of inspirational leadership, there is no better example than Michael O Neill, Manager of the Northern Ireland Football team. Michael led a team of relatively unknown players to qualify for the Euro 2016 tournament and to top their group. Michael will be joined by Peter Cowgill, Executive Chairman of JD Sports and Andrew Curley, Head of Sponsorship & Events at Vauxhall Motors Ltd to discuss the business of sport and the importance of strong, motivational leadership. This event will be the very first business event to take place within the brand new facilities at Windsor Park, the home of Northern Ireland Football, with thanks to the Irish Football Association. 14/04 PRIVATE DINNER CULLODEN HOTEL The Danske Bank Export First invites guests to a private dinner with Dr. Geoff Hayhurst, Managing Director of Paradox Omega Oils. Slieve Kirk Wind Park is an operational 32 turbine wind farm developed by SSE Renewables to power Northern Ireland s second largest energy provider Airtricity. Slieve Kirk Wind Park has been built at a total capital investment cost of 125million and is expected to generate enough green energy each year to power over 65,000 Northern Ireland homes.
