RISE (Reentry Independence through Sustainable Efforts) is the Utah Federal District Court's re-entry court for carefully screened participants dealing with drug addiction and mental health issues. RISE helps its participants re-enter society by providing a supportive environment in which the participants meet weekly with the Court and others interested in their success. RISE has successfully decreased rates of recidivism amongst its participants by creating a collaborative, rather than punitive, approach.
