The basic hours of duty may be varied from time to time to meet the needs of the school. The nature of the post warrants the occupant being on call as required. Assistant state Manager To undertake responsibility for the maintenance, security, health and safety and general administration of the College site, its grounds, buildings, facilities and equipment ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. These will include, as appropriate, those that reflect key corporate priorities, for example, Cultural iversity, Social Justice, nvironmental Quality, conomic Prosperity and Safeguarding 1. To maintain and implement adequate security measures and procedures for the site buildings and facilities. 2. To ensure that the necessary Legislative and Health & Safety requirements are met. 3. To implement and promote the College s and Leicester City council s policies and procedures relating to all areas of employment and service delivery. 4. To ensure the effective implementation of repairs, maintenance and cleaning programmes. 5. To ensure services are provided in a cost-effective, timely and supportive manner. 6. To implement, follow and promote energy conservation measures within the school. 7. To assist customers with the use of the facilities and the activities and to encourage maximum use of the site. 8. To be customer-orientated and achieve good customer relations. 9. Summary of Job Tasks: The tasks listed are, generally, only those taking at least 10% of the post holder s time. 1. Assesses and keeps the site, buildings, facilities and grounds to a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness. 2. eals with any emergency situations, e.g. burst pipes, roof falling in, etc. 3. Assist with regular security checks. 4. Works with external contractors when on site. 5. Assists cleaners in their tasks. 6. Site and Grounds are kept tidy. 7. Provides high quality customer service to all external customers.
8. Repairs equipment. 9. Locks/unlocks school buildings and areas. 10. Completes all records, required forms and returns accurately and on time. 11. Refills and replaces consumables. 12. Assist and participate in the organisation and movement of furniture within the building. 13. Collect and assemble waste for collection (Regular and Recycling).
