Firefighter/EMT (6 Full Time Positions) Upper Merion Township, located in King of Prussia, PA is looking for full-time highly motivated Firefighter/EMT s who will report directly to the Chief of Fire and Emergency Medical Services. This team of Firefighter/EMT s will respond to fires, rescues and other disaster situations. Additional duties involve delivery of emergency medical treatment, property inspections and maintenance of related equipment, buildings and grounds. Duties of the Firefighter/EMT include (but not limited to): Responds to emergency calls for service as part of a team. Operates firefighting and rescue equipment. Conducts salvage operations at fire scenes as directed and assists with investigations of fire scenes. Liaises with the police and EMS personnel to effectively mitigate emergency situations. Provides emergency medical services in the absence of an ambulance crew. Promotes fire safety by organizing training sessions, talks, and seminars. Reviews and implements safety policies and procedures at residential and commercial properties. Provides Public Safety staff with demonstrations on how to effectively operate firefighting equipment. Conducts drills to acquaint company personnel with emergency response procedures. Participates in educational workshops, seminars, and programs to update job skill and knowledge.
