"Because most people forget that you only live once, there is little in their lives that is unique." Erich Limpach Many residents are forced to spend a large part of their time in bed. Regular mobilisation is extremely important here. This is supported by the divided side protections of the Motiva bed. The divided side protections close seamlessly and, when applied at the head end, make an effective contribution to mobilisation in accordance with the expert standard, "Fall Prevention". Motiva combines economic efficiency and cosiness with functional elements, thus ensuring an ambience worth living in. The dual retraction of backrest and leg rest creates space in the bed, helps to reduce pressure in the pelvic area and reduces friction and shearing forces. In addition, the Motiva supports an effective bedsore prevention with its BiNetic-Frame. www.denyer.com.au 3

02 01 03 "Right now are the good old times that we will long for in ten years time." Peter Ustinov Previous page Motiva nursing home bed in design T10, with 100 mm "Decora" castors and bedside cabinet vt1 in alder. 01 The foot end in design G with bedsheet holder and handrail. 02 The divided side protections close together reliably for seamless safety. 03 The bedside cabinet vt1 is equipped with a pull-out tray, as well as one large and one small drawer. Page right Motiva nursing home bed in design T09, bedside cabinet vt3 in alder. Where mobility is concerned, Motiva convinces through numerous practical advantages. Because the nursing home bed can be moved and braked in any bed position, the effort of returning it to the zero position is no longer necessary. The manual safety switch provides protection from accidental operation with its ergonomic design. The low position of the bed at 36 cm facilitates mobilisation and ensures easy transfer to a wheelchair or rest chair. Motiva 6 Toll free: 1800 451 446

Side protection Innovation Release 10 Tradition Release 09 Cosiness 1st level: For a side protection in the starting position, the movita bed has a particularly cosy effect. Barrier-free protection 2nd level: The side protection is used as a barrierfree protection and for the orientation of the resident. Protection and freedom 3rd level, head end: The graduated position of the side protection provides safety without restricting the resident in his freedom of movement. Seamless safety with 12 cm mattress 3rd level: For seamless safety when using 12 cm high mattresses. Seamless safety with 18 cm mattress 4th level: Full safety is guaranteed even when using mattresses up to 18 cm in height. Motiva beds prove themselves with a safety concept that does full justice to the requirements of residents and nursing staff. The wide range of different adjustment variations plays an important role. Securing the bed can be done flexibly, quickly and in any way you like, depending on the situation. In the top position, the two parts of the side protection close together so tightly that they are just as safe as a continuous side protection. This makes the Motiva suitable for all levels of care, as well as for the use of restraining belts. On the fourth extension level, the Motiva is also suitable for the use of special mattresses up to 18 cm in eight. At the customer s request, the nursing home bed is of course also available with continuous side protections. 10 Toll free: 1800 451 446

Mobility and lying Saving time Because of the movability and braking capacity of the bed in every lying position, no time-consuming returning to the starting position is required. Clarity and safety: The advantages of the handset: ergonomic design, so that the buttons cannot be operated unintentionally 3 selection buttons and 2 action buttons with LED display of the function activated 2- in-1 safety package: Handset and control box in one magnet-free key to lock the handset Fall prevention The divided side protection promotes resident mobilisation and is recommended by the "Expert Standard for Fall Prevention"*. The low bed ingress height of 36 cm means that people of small size can also get in and out of bed safely. Safe workload The bed guarantees safe stability with a workload up to 205 kg. Expert standard Fall Prevention of the FH Osnabrück, further information can be found on the back page, as well as at www.dnqp.de www.denyer.com.au 11
