Mustang Summer Camp 2018 Mustang Summer Camp May 29 July 31 Mustang Summer Camp will be held in facilities at the Pleasant Valley campus for students entering grades Pre- K 4 through 6. Sessions for Mustang Summer Camp will run May 29 July 31 with half day, full day and dropin options available for CAC families. Special one-week classes will also be offered during the summer, led by CAC faculty and covering a variety of themes. Families interested in Mustang Summer Camp must have had their child enrolled as a student at CAC during the 2017-2018 school year to attend. To enroll and reserve a spot, CAC families must complete a registration and release form for each child and submit with registration payment. Spaces are limited and cannot be held without all completed forms and registration fee. CAC families who complete the enrollment process by Friday, April 13 will be guaranteed a spot for their child. Registrations after April 13 will be subject to class size and availability. Mustang Summer Camp Fees: Registration fee (non-refundable) by April 13: $35 (includes library card, t-shirt & supply fee) Registration fee (non-refundable) after April 13: $45 Field Trip fee (2nd 6th grades only): $50 Bus Transportation Fee for Camps at High School (if applicable): $10/camp Lunch (if applicable): $4.50 per day Late Pick-up Charge (if applicable): $5 per minute after 5:45 p.m. Mustang Summer Camp Sessions: $14.00 per session (7:15 a.m. 12:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. 5:45 p.m.) $6.00 per session for BSC or ASC if you attend a class (7:15 a.m. 9:00 a.m. or 4:00 p.m. 5:45 p.m.) $28 per day (7:15 a.m. 5:45 p.m.) Drop-in Rates (after paid registration fee) $17.50 per session or $35.00 per day Drop-in Requirements: Must be approved one day in advance. Students who drop-in may not attend field trips. Deadlines: Registration fee (non-refundable) due Friday, April 13 Sessions for June (May 29 June 29) and field trip for 2 nd 6 th grade must be paid by Monday, May 14 Sessions for July (July 2- July 31) must be paid by Monday, June 25 One-Week Classes: $80 for three-hour class Classes will be offered to all students attending CAC, not just Summer Camp students. Food Service Lunch is available to students for $4.50 per day. (Drink included). Snacks Please send a snack from home for your child. Please send one snack per session (morning & afternoon).

Discipline Policy Students attending Mustang Summer Camp will follow the policies and procedures stated in the student handbook, located on the CAC website under Student Policies. We reserve the right to dismiss, without a refund, any student whose conduct becomes inappropriate, disruptive, unsafe or is inconsistent with school policy. Dress Code Students may wear shorts of modest length (no soffe shorts), jeans, capris or pants. Students may wear T-shirts (no graphic sayings or pictures), sleeveless tops and polo shirts. Students may not wear spaghetti-strap tops. Students must wear closed-toe shoes. No flip-flops are permitted. Other Items Please apply sunscreen to your child before each day. Recess will be held outside daily, with weather conditions permitting. Please send a labeled water bottle with your child each day. Students may bring a Nintendo DS with games rated E or an ipad/kindle/nook. CAC is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items. Please do not send ipods, MP3 players or cell phones with students. Please label everything lunchboxes, towels, water bottles, backpacks, etc. Bus transportation will be provided for field trips (2nd 6th grades). CAC Summer Class Offerings Summer 2018 Registration is open to all CAC students entering grades Pre-K 4 6th grade. You do not have to be enrolled in Mustang Summer Camp to enroll in a class. Registration Registration is open until the Friday before the start of class. No students will be accepted on the first day of class. Classes may fill up quickly, so we encourage you to get your registration in as soon as possible. You will find the registration form below please fill out and return it with the appropriate class fee ($80 for three-hour class) and the supply fee. All fees must be paid at the time of enrollment. Cancellation Policy CAC reserves the right to cancel classes if necessary. If one week prior to the start of a class, the minimum number of students is insufficient, then that class will be cancelled. If a class is cancelled, all fees will be refunded or can be used as credit for another class. Due to teacher preparation for the class number and purchasing supplies, class enrollment fees are nonrefundable. Fees will not be prorated for students who wish to attend only part of a class. Absences are nonrefundable. Confirmation of Class An email will be sent to the students registered in a class a few days before the class starts with the location of the class. Class Procedures Classes will begin at 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. If your child is not involved in our Mustang Summer Camp, you may drop off your child 15 minutes before class starts. Children will not be accepted before that time. If your child attends Mustang Summer Camp, a staff member will bring them to the class. If your child is not in Mustang Summer Camp but is attending both morning and afternoon classes, they may bring a lunch and a staff member will bring them to their afternoon class. *BSC/ASC in Mustang Summer Camp* If your child is attending a Summer Class and will be in the Mustang Summer Camp, you may sign them up for Before Summer Class (7:15 a.m. 9:00 a.m.) or After Summer Class for $6.00 a session (4:00 p.m. 5:45 p.m.).

Together we will investigate what makes computer work, learn about computer code, and even build our own video games. We ll have fun building our own games and discovering new ways to think about technology. New students will learn what was covered last year and students that came last year will build on the skills they developed. There will be themed daily lego activities such as Star Wars, Batman, Spiderman, Avengers, etc... We will make lego creations, crafts, and snacks and play lego themed indoor-outdoor games including a water play day. Participants will receive an assortment of building block figures and pieces. Week 3: June 11-15 Wet N Wild Water Ages: Entering Prek 1 st grades Time: 8:30 a.m. 11:30 a.m. Class Fee: $80 Supply Fee: $30 Instructor: Cheryl Otwell How many ways can we get wet? Water balloons, squirt blasters, giant bubbles, water slides and pools! Cool off with the cool gang at CAC this summer! We will even eat water that s right. TAKE FLIGHT IN A GOOD BOOK The CAC-PV Elementary Library will be open this summer! PV Library: June 6 July 25 (Wednesday Only) (Closed July 4) Times: 9 a.m. 12 p.m. Ages: Entering Pre-K - 6th grade 3rd grade and above may come alone; 2nd grade and below must be accompanied by an adult unless they are in the Summer Camp. Students entering 2nd 6th grades may check out books and take AR tests. Students entering Pre-K through 1 st grades may check out books for parents to read to them. If your child is in Mustang Summer Camp, your child (Pre-K 6th grade) will be able to go with their class to check out books and take AR tests their library card was included in the registration fee. Students and families are encouraged to read together. Students entering grades 2-5 may take AR tests to earn points. The computer lab will be open each week when the library is open. (AR pts. will carry over into the 2018-2019 school year. These will also be converted into word count for the older students during the school year.)
