Frisco Family Services helps members of our communities who are facing hunger, homelessness and other urgent needs improve their quality of life and achieve self-sufficiency. Stress less - Refresh your outlook! Take a mindful minute: Meditation helps take the edge off stress and can even help you make better decisions. Don t think you re the sit-still-and-breathe type? Try the free app calm (calm.com), which gives you guided meditation sessions that last anywhere from 2 to 30 minutes. Take deep breaths: Add some green to the scene. A potted plant can help you be more productive, feel less stressed, and literally breathe easier! Frisco Family Services could not do what we do without the help from our AMAZING volunteers! Thank you to our many priceless VOLUNTEERS!

Frisco Family Services clients put a Saint Patrick s Day spin on their cooking class!

Green Thumbs of all ages put Life into the Community Garden! Lots of progress was made at the Spring Planting event on Saturday, April 1st. Community members who adopted garden beds began the process of growing fresh and organic produce for distribution through Frisco s only community Food Pantry, making sure our clients have access to fresh and healthy food. Thank you to all our Little Hands, St. Philip s Episcopal Church - Frisco, TX, Dillas Quesadillas and Girl Scout Troop 3935 volunteers that came out to help the gardeners begin planting. Bonnie Plants also made a wonderful donation, and PDQ Frisco provided a delicious lunch! There s always savings at Frisco Resale! Check out what we have going on right now!

Meet Nicole and Deonica, both students at the University of Texas in Arlington, studying social work. They joined the Frisco Family Services team as interns three months ago and stated that their internship has been extremely beneficial because it is so hands on training, and they learn something new every day! Did you know that Frisco Family Services accepts interns year-round from colleges in the fields of social work, marketing, development and more? We are currently looking to fill positions for our summer internship program. If you are passionate and eager to learn, this may be a fit for you! We are holding an Intern Fair on Wednesday, May 17th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Click here to go to our website and submit the Internship Application Form before May 10th to attend.

Thank you to everyone who supported Frisco Family Services Gala 2017 - ONE! Frisco has been filled with excitement! Arts in the Square was held on April 1st, and brought culture and a day of family fun to Frisco Square! Once again, Frisco ISD partnered with Frisco Family Services for the Empty Bowls event where everyone could select a bowl, handmade by Frisco ISD students for a donation, to help our neighbors in crisis. Frisco StrEATS Gourmet Food Truck and Music Festival was held on April 7th in Downtown Frisco. Community members and visitors from all over the metroplex enjoyed food from some of DFW s best Food Trucks, phenomenal live music, shopping from 35+ vendors and more! Thank you to everyone who supported Frisco Resale, as they participated in the event for the first time. More great merchandise at unbeatable prices can be found every day at Frisco Resale, so visit soon! A very special thank you to Collin County Jeep Club, Kona Ice, Downtown Merchants Association, and American Sjoel for demonstrating what a CARING community is all about!
