Web 3.0 Project update The Web 3.0 project is approaching delivery of phase 1. This will deliver: a unified shopping basket where web users will be able to buy books, exams, training and events in one transaction (join and renew will be integrated in a future phase) simpler, easier purchase journeys making it easier to buy from us a fully mobile responsive site which is crucial in accommodating the 50% of global web traffic that is mobile (only 26% of CIPS current traffic) new design and navigation making it easier for users to find what they need, reducing calls to customer services and improving the visibility of our services and content new design and navigation were added to the original project scope but will deliver a significantly improved user experience and a more effective platform for future online service delivery A full communication plan for the website launch is being developed and will include a promotional video for members and engaging content for launch.

Annual Student Survey Requested by Professional Development The student survey is conducted each year to our global student community, giving them an opportunity to provide feedback about their learning journey with CIPS. This year we included questions about computer based exams (CBE) to provide useful customer insight to the Qualifications Review project team 133% Increase in completed surveys compared to 2016 5,015 Responses vs. 3,096 (2016) 3,503 Completed vs. 1,507 (2016) 1,509 Partially Completed vs. 1,589 (2016) In the survey we ask students about their usage of CIPS learning resources and member benefits. There has been minimal change in the responses on most of these resources over the last two years, except for the following: Although e-learning usage has increased from 49% to 52%, 92% of respondents still prefer a printed course book There has been an increase in the use of the Knowledge Hub from 53% to 64% Over the last two years over 90% of students would like us to offer both ebooks and course books. They would also like additional revision supporting aids, such as flash cards Exam Journey As part of our duty of care, we monitor how well we communicate with our students throughout their learner journey by asking them about their level of satisfaction in the following: 9 out 10 are satisfied with the ease of applying for CIPS membership 8 out 10 are satisfied with their understanding of the learning journey that would take by the ease of booking an exam 7.5 out of 10 are satisfied by how CIPS handled their query whilst they study Points of interest When asked for the most important reasons why they did a CIPS qualification, respondents said: Over 90% of students have everyday access to the internet, and 88% would like to take future exams using CBE because CIPS qualifications are recognised as the standard for the profession and will enable me to progress further in my career Over 70% of respondents are studying independently in their own time whilst in a procurement role
