In 1967, Baptist Health Foundation was established as one of the nation s first hospital foundations. Therefore, our commitment and support of the faith-based, health ministry of Baptist Health System has been reflected in our Mission for more than four decades. In our continuing efforts to improve the health and well-being of families across north and central Alabama through support of Baptist Health System, we are guided by our Mission. As a 501(c)(3) organization, the Foundation supports a wide array of health-related activities at Baptist Health System. We fulfill our Mission by securing financial support for the System from corporations, grant-making organizations and individuals like you.
Founded in 1922 by a group of local Baptist congregations, Baptist Health System (BHS) continues as a leader in the region s health care. Today, BHS ranks among the largest health care systems and employers in Alabama. BHS is committed to providing quality health care while serving as a witness to the love of God as revealed through Jesus Christ. As a faith-based, not-for-profit health care system, BHS provides medical care to all, no matter their financial situation. A faith-based Mission has guided the path of Baptist Health System for the past 90 years. It s this Mission that is leading the way to the future.
