As a witness to the love of God, as revealed through Jesus Christ, Baptist Health Foundation is committed to ensure that Baptist Health System has the charitable and community resources necessary to sustain its ministries that enhance the health, dignity and wholeness of those we serve through Integrity, Compassion, Advocacy, Resourcefulness and Excellence.

In 1967, Baptist Health Foundation was established as one of the nation s first hospital foundations. Therefore, our commitment and support of the faith-based, health ministry of Baptist Health System has been reflected in our Mission for more than four decades. In our continuing efforts to improve the health and well-being of families across north and central Alabama through support of Baptist Health System, we are guided by our Mission. As a 501(c)(3) organization, the Foundation supports a wide array of health-related activities at Baptist Health System. We fulfill our Mission by securing financial support for the System from corporations, grant-making organizations and individuals like you.

Founded in 1922 by a group of local Baptist congregations, Baptist Health System (BHS) continues as a leader in the region s health care. Today, BHS ranks among the largest health care systems and employers in Alabama. BHS is committed to providing quality health care while serving as a witness to the love of God as revealed through Jesus Christ. As a faith-based, not-for-profit health care system, BHS provides medical care to all, no matter their financial situation. A faith-based Mission has guided the path of Baptist Health System for the past 90 years. It s this Mission that is leading the way to the future. With over 1,500 licensed hospital beds and more than 500 physicians, four BHS hospitals provide care to north and central Alabama: Citizens Baptist Medical Center in Talladega Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper Other BHS entities: - Baptist Health Centers, a primary care network with more than 40 locations - Graduate medical education programs in five disciplines hosting 90 resident physicians - Nine apartment communities that provide safe, affordable housing for senior adults

Thank you for saving my husband s life. Your hospital staff gave such excellent, tender-loving care to my husband and me. Thank God for each of you! Wife of a Princeton Baptist heart patient The nurses, chaplains and support staff in the Women s Center and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit are wonderful, dedicated professionals who my family has come to adore. Their patient care and interaction with families went above and beyond what I could have ever expected. What a blessing they have been! Husband and father of Shelby Baptist patients
