Delta Gamma Chapter Blurbs On Friday, September 12th, Delta Gamma will be hosting one of their favorite events: Capture the Anchor. We re hoping the Villanova community will come out and support the sisterhood s philanthropy, Service for Sight, which aids those who are visually impaired, as well as enjoy a great afternoon playing capture the flag. There will be music, food, and fun! Sign up and make a team at our table by the Oreo starting Tuesday, September 9th through Thursday, September 11th from 11-3 pm. We hope to see everyone at Dougherty Field at 3pm on the 12th! Sigma Chi The Kappa Chi chapter of Sigma Chi was able to donate $12,000 to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation after several philanthropic events this year. This donation represents a new philanthropic record for the Kappa Chi chapter, and one that that chapter will strive to surpass in the future. Alpha Gamma Delta This summer, Alpha Gamma Delta s President, Katie Brindley, and Vice President of Recruitment, Chelsea Kapotes, attended National Convention in Indianapolis. They were able to partake in many workshops to expand their knowledge of how to better the chapter. Then, on behalf of the chapter, they accepted the New Chapter Achievement Award which is presented to the most successful first-year chapter. The sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta were thrilled by this amazing accomplishment and look forward to the upcoming semester. "
Alpha Kappa Alpha This past Spring, Villanova s Alpha Kappa Alpha chapter attended their North Atlantic Regional Conference. During the Undergraduate Luncheon, the girls received the Chapter of the Year Award, the Legacy Award, the Economic Security Award, the Pearls of Power Award, Second Place Graduate Advisor of the Year, & Second Place Award for Undergraduate Exhibit." " The North Atlantic Region includes the states of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and the District of Columbia. The Tau Xi chapter beat out all of the universities in those states with AKA chapters and TX is only 1 year old! The judging period was from January - December 2013, and they were chartered November 2012...that's a huge accomplishment!
