As you read this newsletter, you re probably wondering a couple of things Who are you? And why am I reading this? Well, thank you for asking. Let me tell you a little about myself. I m Bruno Pareja Lozano, the President of the Residence Hall Association (RHA). I am in my second year at NDSU as a Strategic Communication major. The reason to read this is because we will highlight a lot of cool opportunities for you to get involved. We will also have important dates, resources, and more from around campus. Keep an eye out of this newsletter each month because it will have a lot of information. Have a great school year, Bruno P. COINLESS LAUNDRY Students can do their laundry without having to worry about having RESIDENCE LIFE CINEMA The on-campus movie on-demand service (www.reslifemovies.ndsu.edu) shows new and classic movies selected by students; television shows are updated monthly based on voting done by the students COLLEGIATE READERSHIP PROGRAM Provides on-campus students with daily copies. We currently only provide the Fargo Forum.
Hall Governments The purpose of Hall Government is to create connections and provide many opportunities for student voice. It provides opportunities to develop leadership, interpersonal, and real world skills. The positions available include President, Vice President, Administrative Director, Programming Council Representative, Campus Services Representative, Diversity Initiative Leader, and Floor Representatives. MESSAGES FROM AROUND CAMPUS NDSU BOOKSTORE Apple Authorized Service and Sales As an authorized Apple Campus Store, we are participating in the Apple Back-to-School Event going on now. Talk to Brad, Erin or Justin in our Technology Department about Mac bundles, the free Beats event and our Technology Trade-in Program. After Hours Event We would like to welcome the freshman class AND other returning students into the bookstore in the Memorial Union for something FUN! "NDSU Bookstore After Hours" is scheduled for Wednesday September 6th, from 6 PM to 8 PM in the store. Here are just some of the things you will be able to do: FREE Make-it-yourself Ice Cream Sundaes with all the toppings Great Prizes! Many "Minute to Win It" style games, a Bison Photo Booth and Bison Bargains in front of the store. GREAT RIDES BIKE SHARE Great Rides welcomes students returning to campus! Great Rides Bike Share has been missing its awesome student users and is ready to roll for a great fall season of riding! In order to get rolling, students will need to enroll their NDSU Student ID with the system by visiting www.ndsu.edu/sg/bikeshare. Your NDSU student ID gets you unlimited 30 minute trips, and your card works at all 11 stations in the system. Check-outs are available from 6am-midnight, 7 days a week. BIKE SHARE STUDENT ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS for ENROLLED STUDENTS 1. Go to www.ndsu.edu/sg/bikeshare 2. Click on the link in the middle of the page 3. Enter in your Blackboard information 4. After reading the Bike Share Agreement, check the box to agree to statements 5. Finally, click submit
