Our Library. Our Community. Foundation continues its mission to keep the library open, relevant and thriving. Our task has become more challenging because public funding has been drastically cut and library usage has risen to an all-time high.

Working Together Discover Reduced public funding has become the new normal for libraries everywhere. The Foundation has pioneered a variety of progressive public-private partnerships. Working together with the city, businesses, foundations, and particularly, our generous donors, we secure our library s ranking as one of the finest public libraries in California. 100% of the books, materials, programs, equipment and services are funded through private contributions. W Discover o Working Together r Reduced public funding has become the new normal for libraries everywhere. Serving Our Community Give Our library s excellence depends on gifts from people like you. Our donors make everything possible. When you give, you can be confident that your gift funds a vital institution and enhances the lives of thousands of your neighbors, young and old. The Main Library, located in the heart of town and designed by world-renowned architect Bernard Maybeck, houses collections for adults and teenagers. The Children s Library and Local History Library are located at the Park Branch just a few blocks away. Some 107,000 people walk through these library doors annually. Please Give Today.
