Working together with the city, businesses, foundations, and particularly, our generous donors, we secure our library s ranking as one of the finest public libraries in California. 100% of the books, materials, programs, equipment and services are funded through private contributions. Library Essentials Enjoy and More! Collections Choose from fiction, non-fiction, classics, art books, reference services, audio books & DVDs, career planning resources, college preparation materials, health and wellness periodicals, and more. We have some 80,000 titles in the collection! Technology Thousands of patrons use our public access computers and free Wi-Fi. Tech-savvy librarians help patrons access an array of downloadable materials and online databases. Free Cultural Programs We feature best-selling authors, scholars, artists, film-makers and performers. With film nights, history lectures and a new parent lecture series, there is something for everyone all year long. Local History Archives The Local History Library features archives of Carmel and regional California history. It is a wonderful resource for students, businesses and scholars, and it is staffed by a professional librarian and archivist. Children s Library & New Teen Room Our reading programs, art projects, storytimes, homework help and comfy spaces are popular with youth and families.
