578 About the Contributors Narendra Kumar Kamila is presently working as Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Head (R & D Cell), C V Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. He received his master degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and subsequently obtained his Ph. D. degree from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in the year 2000. Prof. Kamila was also post doctoral fellow to University of Arkansas, USA. He has published several research papers in the national/international journal of repute in the field of wireless sensor networking, Adhoc-networking, Image processing, meta cognition, data privacy/security. He has served as program committee members in many international conferences. He has also conducted staff development programs under the financial support of All Indian Council for Technical Education as chief-coordinator. However, he had organized International Conference on Computer Technology (ICCT-2010) from 3rd Dec. to 5th Dec. 2010 at C V Raman College of Engineering successfully as General/Local Organizing Chair with financial assistance from AICTE, CSIR and Biju Patnaik University of Technology. He was also Guest Editor of International Journal of Computer and Communication Technology, Vol. 2, Issues 2, 3 and 4, 2010. He has completed many projects sponsored by various sponsoring agencies. He has guided many M.Tech. and Ph.D. students under different universities. Ammari is an Associate Professor and the Founding Director of Wireless Sensor and Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (WiSeMAN) Research Lab, in the Department of Computer Science, College of Science, Engineering and Technology, Norfolk State University, Norfolk, Virginia. He has been selected as instructor at Stanford University in the Stanford Summer College Academy 2016 program. He obtained his second Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, in May 2008, and his first Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, in December 1996. He has a strong publication record in various top-quality journals and high-quality

conferences. He has published several books through Springer. He is the recipient of the US National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award in January 2011, a three-year US NSF Research Grant Award in June 2009, and the Faculty Research and Development Grant Award from Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in May 2009. In March 2014, he was recognized with the Distinguished Research Award at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Also, in May 2010, he was recognized with the Lawrence A. Stessin Prize for Outstanding Scholarly Publication (i.e., Distinguished Research Award) at Hofstra University. He is the recipient of the Nortel Outstanding CSE Doctoral Dissertation Award in February 2009, and the John Steven Schuchman Award for 2006 2007 Outstanding Research by a PhD Student in February 2008. He received the Best Paper Award at EWSN in 2008, and the Best Paper Award at the IEEE PerCom 2008 Google Ph.D. Forum. He received several other prestigious awards, including the Best Graduate Student Paper Award (Nokia Budding Wireless Innovators Awards First Prize) in May 2004, the Best Graduate Student Presentation Award (Ericsson Award First Prize) in February 2004, and Laureate in Physics and Chemistry for academic years 1987 and 1988. Also, he was selected as the ACM Student Research Competition Finalist at the ACM MobiCom in September 2005. He has been selected for inclusion in the AcademicKeys Who s Who in Engineering Higher Education in 2012, the AcademicKeys Who s Who in Sciences Higher Education in 2011, Feature Alumnus in the University of Texas at Arlington CSE Department s Newsletter in Spring 2011, Who s Who in America in 2010, and the 2008-2009 Honors Edition of Madison Who s Who Among Executives and Professionals. He has received several service awards. He is the Founding Coordinator of both of the Distinguished Lecture Series since January 2012, and the Research Colloquium Series since September 2011, in the College of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He has been invited to give several invited talks at reputed universities. Recently, he was invited to give a talk at the Third Arab-American Frontiers of Sensor Science Symposium, which is organized by the US National Academy of Sciences (NAS) and the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia, December 5-7, 2015. Also, he served as external examiner of several Ph.D. Dissertations. He is the Founder of the ACM Annual International Workshop on Mission-Oriented Wireless Sensor Networking (ACM MiSeNet), which has been co-located with ACM MobiCom and IEEE INFOCOM since 2012. He serves as Associate Editor of several prestigious journals. Also, he has served as General Chair, Program Chair, Track Chair, Session Chair, Publicity Chair, Web Chair, and Technical Program Committee member of numerous ACM and IEEE conferences, symposia, and workshops. He served on the Distinguished Research Award Committee at the University of Michigan-Dearborn in February 2015. He is an IEEE Senior Member. Imtiyaz Anwar did his Master of Technology (Gold Medalist) from National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, India and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. from National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, India. He has worked as Assistant Professor in Lovely Professional University, India and Vidya Vihar Institute of Technology, Bihar, India. His research interest in the field of WiMAX system Image processing, and Computer vision. Sukant Kishoro Bisoy received the Bachelor s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from (I.E(India) and Master s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, India in 2000 and 2003, respectively, and pursuing PhD degree in Computer Engineering from the SOA University, Bhubaneswar, India. He is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science & Engineering Department, C. V. Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar, India. His 579

current research interests are on Ad Hoc Network and Wireless Sensor Network. He has served as Editor of Lecture notes on Wireless Sensor networks: The recent Challenges. In addition, he has been involved in organizing many conferences, workshop and FDP. He has several publications in national and International conference and journals and given invited talk in many workshops. Biswajeet Champaty received his B.Tech degree in Biomedical Engineering from Trident Academy of Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India in 2010, M.Tech degree in Biomedical Engineering from SRM University, Chennai, India in 2012. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India. His area of research includes biomedical instrumentation and signal processing for designing human-computer interface devices mainly for rehabilitation and assistive purposes. Prasant Kumar Dash has completed MCA from VSSUT, Burla in the year 2009. After that I have passed M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from BPUT, Rourkela (2014). Now, I am continuing Ph.D in computer science at SUIIT, Sambalpur, Odisha. Basaprabhu S Halakarnimath received M. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgavi. Registered for Ph. D. at the same University under the guidance of Dr. Ashok V. Sutagundar in the field of Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks. Daneshwari Hatti has completed Electronics and Communication engineering in BLDEA CET Bijapur, Karnataka and pursued M.Tech in Digital Electronics from VTU Belgaum and registered for Ph.D in VTU. Author is presently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in BLDEA CET Bijapur, Karnataka, India. Manas Ranjan Kabat has received his M.E. degree in Information Technology and Computer Engineering from Bengal Engineering College, India, and the Ph.D degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Sambalpur University, India. He is currently working as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Odisha, India. His research involves Multicast Routing, Reliable Multicast, High Speed Computer Networks and e-governance. He has published more than 20 research papers in various International Journals and Conferences. He has also authored a book entitled Design and Analysis of Algorithm and a book chapter entitled Transport Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks. Arun Khosla is currently an Associate Professor, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Dean Research in National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, India. Surinder Khurana is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Computer Science & Technology, Central University of Punjab, India. He completed his Master s degree from PEC University of Technology. Subhash Kumar is a Senior Research Fellow at CSIR-Central Institute of Mining & Fuel Research, India and is pursuing Ph.D. from Indian School of Mines Dhanbad, India. His area of research includes Fire Sensing Mechanism and Wireless Communication. Padmaja Kuruba received Bachelors degree in Electronics and communication Engineering from the Vijayanagar engineering college (Now Rao Bahadur Y Mahabaleswarappa Engineering College), Bellary, MTech degree in Digital Electronics from Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology Dharwad, affiliated to Visveswaraya Technological university and pursuing Ph.D. in area of space based Wireless sensor network. Her areas of interest are Wireless communication, wireless sensor network, Navigation and GPS, and image processing, She is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Electronics and Communication engineering, Global Academy of technology, Bangalore. She has worked in industry at Larsen and Tubro Limited, Kyocera and Mindtree limited for 7years on Wimax, LTE, Multimedia application and embedded system. She was awarded as valuable contributor for Navini-Cisco Wimax project at Larsen and Tubro limited. She was awarded with A grade for Wireless communication course at Indian Institute of science, Bangalore. She was resource person at two Nation Level workshops for faculty development on recent trends in Wireless communication. she has published national and international journal and conference. Babita Majhi is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalay, Central University, Bilaspur, India. She did her Ph.D. in 2009 from National Institute of Technology Rourkela and Post Doctoral research work at University of Sheffield, UK (Dec. 2011 Dec. 2012) under Boyscast Fellowship of DST, Govt. of India. She has guided 02 Ph.D. and 08 M.Tech. theses in the field of adaptive signal processing, computational finance and Soft-computing and has published 100 research papers in various referred International journals and conferences with more than 450 citations and h-index of 11. Her research interests are Adaptive Signal Processing, Soft Computing, Evolutionary Computing, Computational Finance, Distributed Signal Processing and Data Mining. Natarajan Meghanathan is a tenured Associate Professor of Computer Science at Jackson State University, Jackson, MS. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas in May 2005. Dr. Meghanathan has published more than 150 peer-reviewed articles (more than half of them being journal publications). He has also received federal education and research grants from the U. S. National Science Foundation, Army Research Lab and Air Force Research Lab. Dr. Meghanathan has been serving in the editorial board of several international journals and in the Technical Program Committees and Organization Committees of several international conferences. His research interests are Wireless Ad hoc Networks and Sensor Networks, Graph Theory, Network and Software Security, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. His research interests include wireless sensor networking, communication, and control and monitoring for mine safety using RFID, motes etc. Mishra received his PhD in applied physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University and did his research associateship from University of Ottawa, Canada. 581

Biswajit Mohapatra is practising surgeon at Vesaj Patel Hospital, Rorurkela, India. Usha Manasi Mohapatra is presently working as Asst. Professor in the Dept. of Computer Science and Information technology at ITER, Siksha O Anusandhan University, Bhubaneswar. She did her M. Tech.(CSE) from Biju Patnaik University in 2011. She is pursuing her Ph. D. in the field of Distributed Computing at Siksha O Anusandhan University, Bhubaneswar. She has published few research papers in international conferences. Her research interests are Distributed Computing, Soft computing, Evolutionary computing, Data Mining and Computational finance. Aquib Nawaz has completed his B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering from the Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Rourkela. Suraj Kumar Nayak received his B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from Government College of Engineering Keonjhar, Odisha, India (formerly known as OSME Keonjhar) and M. Tech in Biomedical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Rourkela, Odisha, India. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Rourkela, Odisha, India. His research interests include Biomedical Instrumentation, Biomedical Signal & Image Processing, Artificial Neural Network and Trans-dermal Drug Delivery. Er Pratik has completed B tech from Shobhit University, Meerut with a CGPA of 8.9. He has done 12 and 10 with a percentage of 86.4 and 87.2 percentage respectively. Kunal Pal has completed his undergraduation in Pharmacy from College of Pharmacy, Delhi University, India in the year 2002. Thereafter, he did his post-graduation in Biomedical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. He received his Ph.D. degree in Material Science Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor and Professor-in-charge of Medical Electronics and Instrumentation (MEI) Laboratory in the Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India. He was a postdoctoral Research Fellow at School of Nutrition, Ryerson University, Toronto, ON, Canada during the period 2007-2008. His major research interests include Biomedical Signal Processing, Biomedical Image Processing, Biomedical Equipment Design and Soft Materials. Madhuri Rao is currently pursuing her PhD in Wireless Sensor Network. She was awarded Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science in the year 2005, and her Masters of Technology in Computer Science in the year 2008. Her research interest lies in the areas of Networking, Distributed System and Parallel Computing. Sirsendu S. Ray is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology & Medical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha, India. Rozita Salehian is a postgraduate student in Computer Science and IT. She graduated from Sajad higher education, Iran with a B.S. in hardware computer engineering. Solmaz Salehian is a PhD student of Computer Science and Informatics at Oakland University, US. She received her B.S. from Iran and her M.S. from Malaysia. Rajeev Mohan Sharma is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at NIT Kurukshetra. He is working at NIT Kurukshetra since 1991 and having 24 years of long teaching and research experience. He did B.Tech from HBTI Kanpur in 1991 with 75.4% marks, received his M.Tech Degree from REC Kurukshetra (now NIT Kurukshetra) in 1998 with 81.2% marks and PhD from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra in the area of Computer Networks. Manmeet Singh received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer science and engineering from the GZSPTU Campus, Bathinda, Punjab in 2013. He is currently a student of Master of Technology in Cyber security at Central University of Punjab, Bathinda and has submitted his dissertation on detection of Vampire attacks on wireless ad-hoc networks in 2015. Surjit Singh is PhD Research Scholar in the Computer Engineering Department at National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India. He also worked as Assistant Professor at NIT Kurukshetra. He received B.Tech degree in Computer Engineering from Ch. Devi Lal Memorial Governement Engineering College (now CDLSIET), Kurukshetra University, with honors and MTech degree in Computer Science, with distinction. He authored a book with Pearson Education. He is serving as reviewer for IEEE international conferences in the field of networking and power distribution system optimization. Ashok V Sutagundar completed his M. Tech from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka. He has pursued PhD in the area of Cognitive Agent based Information Management in wireless Networks. Presently he is serving as an Assistant Professor of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering Bagalkot, Karnataka. Sutagundar completed his B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Karnatak University Dharwad, India and M.Tech from Visvesvaraya Technological University Belgaum, India. He is received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering form Visvesvaraya Technological University. Tibarewala is presently a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India since August 1996, Dr. D. N. Tibarewala has earlier served as Director in the School of Bioscience & Engineering of the same University during the period May 2004-November 2011. He did his BSc (Honours) in 1971 and B. Tech (Applied Physics) in 1974 from the Calcutta University, India. He was admitted to the Ph.D. (Tech) degree of the Calcutta University in 1980.
