Capacity Building and Training under IPDF CAPACITY BUILDING
CAPACITY BUILDING OF GOVERNMENT INSTITUTIONS IPDF played in instrumental role in enhancing capacity of various government departments and actively promoted mobilization of private capital towards public infrastructure projects. A. Highway Research and Training Complex (HRTC) Conducted a 3 day training session on Public Private Partnership targeting Engineers from NHA and other civic agencies to understand good practices related to PPP. Training highlighted recent PPP transactions M-2, M-9 and explained various financial and contractual legalities related to the project. C. Stake holder workshop on Bus Rapid Transit project Conducted a stakeholder workshop in collaboration with CDIA to raise awareness regarding private sector involvement involving local transporters educating them on use of private sector financing to procure new buses and plying them on existing routes. B. Riphah International University Conducted a seminar with Public Policy school of a leading University in Islamabad on effective use of private sector financing and role of private sector D. Pakistan Railway IPDF assisted Pakistan Railways in developing track access policy in collaboration with the world bank. As per the policy, PR would encourage private investment towards PR tracks based on a track access charge.

Capacity Building and Training under IPDF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
International Cooperation with CDIA IPDF co-organized basic training on Public Private Partnerships for municipalities with support from Cities Development Initiative Asia in May 2015. The purpose of the training was to enable participants acquire basic knowledge about goals of PPPs How can PPP contribute towards urban development What is PPP What is important about PPP
