The Grand Challenges Program on TB Call 1 Treatment Adherence for TB Launched in May 2013 with USAID and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation 122 proposals received, 28 interviewed 13 funded to build a prototype (Rs. 18 lacs each) 4 funded for field scale up (Rs. 50 lacs each) Reached 2000 patients, hope to reach 10,000 by the completion of the program Call 2 Screening, Detection and Diagnostics Launched in June 2015 with USAID and BIRAC, DBT 94 proposals received 13 interviewed 6 funded to build a prototype (Rs.50 lacs each) 3 will be funded for field testing (Rs.1.2 cr each) Call 3 Innovations for LICs in Asia and Africa Launched in December 2015 with USAID and DFID 80 proposals received 17 interviewed 3 funded for scaling up in India and pilot in Myanmar, Afghanistan, Uganda (Rs. 2.4 cr each)
