Although behavioral approaches have proven effective in producing weight loss in the general adult population, chronically mentally ill patients have been excluded from controlled weight management treatment trials. In this presentation, a three-month behavioral weight control program for patients taking anti-psychotic medications will be discussed and findings reported.
