Working Groups: As the head of the Forensic Science Laboratory, I had been the Director of the National Analysis Center (NAC) for Euro Banknotes, the Coins National Analysis Center (CNAC), established in compliance to the Council Regulations 1338/2001 and 1339/2001 and of the National Central Office (NCO) for Counterfeiting, established in compliance to the Geneva Convention 1929. On the basis of my field of expertise and status, I had been a member of the following Working Groups until the end of January 2007 i) NAC Experts Group. Consisting of the Directors of the National Analysis Centers (for Euro Banknotes). It belongs to the European Central Bank and has ordinary meetings in Frankfurt four times per year. ii) Counterfeit Coins Experts Group. Consisting of Experts on Euro Counterfeiting or the Directors of the National Central Offices. It belongs to the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes and has one meeting per year in a country that is offering to host the meeting. v) ENFSI MARKS Working Group.
