Partners of the Roy Hill Community Foundation recognise they operate as part of the broader community. They believe more effective outcomes are achieved through a collaborative and integrated approach.

About the Roy Hill Community Foundation The Roy Hill Community Foundation is a single point to focus the collaborative involvement of partners by combining your contributions with Roy Hill s commitment. By working together our combined resources can be used more efficiently to make a sustainable difference to the communities in the Pilbara and surrounding areas. There are high expectations for companies to contribute to corporate citizenship. Partners of the Foundation recognise their obligations to work in the community and believe more effective outcomes will be achieved through this collaborative and integrated approach.

Our vision Our difference The Roy Hill Community Foundation is here for the long term. We don t simply give money away. We invest in programs and initiatives which deliver sustainable benefits to the community. We want to work with the community to ensure citizens have the skills, knowledge and capability to be successful now and in the future. We will ensure future financial and social capital contributions are well targeted to local needs to provide enduring benefits. We value learning and will pursue opportunities to foster positive outcomes. The Foundation aims to: Promote alliances between companies to support an integrated approach to education, training, employment, business and community development Use research and evidence to determine the best path to success Work in consultation with local providers and Indigenous communities Allocate funds for education, training and community development to projects identified through consultation with the community Encourage companies to demonstrate leadership, collaboration and commitment by investing in social capital in addition to funding contributions.

Our focus The Roy Hill Community Foundation will target investment and support strategies recommended by community stakeholders across four areas. Education, Training and Employment Coordinated training and apprenticeships Work readiness and life skills programs Education, employment and training projects in disadvantaged communities Streamlining employment entry processes: job applications, CVs and drivers licences Scholarships and support for Pilbara students and schools Culture and the Arts Scholarships for local artists and performers Sponsorship for local exhibitions, shows and performances Educational programs that foster culture and the arts Programs that integrate business development and culture and the arts Relevant mentoring and role models

Business Development Streamlining Indigenous pre qualification Support for on-boarding Business development support for Indigenous companies Mentoring for Indigenous business Developing effective practice principles Community Development Funding for health support and medical facilities Support for resilience programs for Indigenous families Promoting positive role models Improving facilities in Indigenous communities Support services for children and at risk youth services

Strategic project The first major project of the Roy Hill Community Foundation is the construction of an Arts and Cultural Enterprise Centre. This project responds to community aspirations and demonstrates commitment to community and innovation. The Arts and Cultural Enterprise Centre will provide a local venue for Traditional Owners to facilitate a collaborative approach to art, education, employment, business and community enterprise in the Pilbara.

How the Roy Hill Community Foundation will work The Roy Hill Community Foundation has been approved as a charity by the Australian Charities and Not For Profit Commission. The Australian Taxation Office has endorsed the Foundation as a deductible gift recipient. A Management Committee will be established to include representation of Platinum partners. The Management Committee s role is to implement policy to achieve the Foundation s charitable objectives.

The benefits of partnering with the Roy Hill Community Foundation The development of the Roy Hill Community Foundation project is history in the making. The Foundation is a story about succeeding through drive, persistence, vision and an unwavering determination to achieve goals others do not believe can be achieved. Our commitment to leave a positive legacy in local communities is real. We want to make a difference a genuine, positive difference to the communities in which we operate. The Foundation is a vehicle for us to join forces to address community issues deemed too hard to tackle on our own. It is about being successful through team work, partnership and collaboration. Partnering with the Foundation means being noticed and being heard. Travel the journey with us and make history. Partnering with the Foundation means strength through unity, setting the benchmark and achieving goals.

How you can be a partner Financial strength will give the Roy Hill Community Foundation flexibility to pursue opportunities. However, we know that financial investment alone rarely equates to success. We value learning, knowledge sharing and utilising capability. That is why in addition to financial contributions, we are seeking in-kind commitment such as: Technical expertise Project management Staff volunteer time Business incubation and start up Business case and plan development Facilitation of employment and training. Mentoring Your return on investment By partnering with the Foundation, your corporate brand and reputation will be strengthened. You will be positioned as a company that is serious about community development and making a sustainable contribution. Your association with the Foundation means you have the energy, drive and tenacity to take on challenges which others shy away from. Importantly, you will be positioned as a company which delivers real benefits to local communities. Being part of the Foundation, you will be partnering with a brand that is well recognised and respected locally, nationally and globally as delivering what it says it will deliver. As a partner, you will gain access to high profile opportunities which ensure you are noticed and heard. The Roy Hill Community Foundation values learning, knowledge sharing and utilising capability.
