WESTERN NEBRASKA COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION THREE-YEAR PLAN -2010 Mission Statement: The Western Nebraska Community College Foundation shall advance the mission and goals of Western Nebraska Community College by providing resources, both financial and professional, to enhance scholarship offerings, to provide growth opportunities, to support programs, and to plan for the future through special and capital projects. This will maintain the excellence of the College by expanding access and affordability to a superior learning environment for students. We enhance the competitiveness of the college through funding state-of-the-art facilities, scholarship opportunities, and academic programs for students. This will enhance the lives of community members, the quality of the college, and the communities it serves. Role of the Foundation members: Provide leadership to the organization Develop policies and guidelines related to the organization Help to set goals for the organization Offer direction and support of Assist in fundraising and fiduciary responsibility Provide internal and external communication with Foundation constituencies Page 1 of 9 As adopted by the of Directors 25,

Goal 1: Improve relationships with faculty and staff 1. Appoint a faculty and/or staff member (ex-officio) to the 2. Prepare informative materials for college fall/spring assembly days Faculty/staff representative will give quarterly updates to their association meetings in reference to Foundation activities Ensure appropriate materials highlighting Foundation opportunities are available at all internal assemblies 3. Goal 3: Establish relationships with Sidney and Alliance 1. Contact Sidney Endowment Association, faculty and staff Meet with principals of Sidney Endowment Association regularly and visit Sidney community and campus at least quarterly 2. Contact within Alliance community Visit Alliance community and Alliance campus at least quarterly 3. Utilize actual testimonials (if accessible) from: a) A student or a department who has been the beneficiary of endowed funds, and/or b) The provider of the endowment in order to share the perspective of those who have established such a gift to the Foundation Page 7 of 9

Invite potential donors to a function that focuses on charitable giving 3. Establish a heritage society that recognizes those who have included the Foundation in their estate plans. a) Invite prospective members to a heritage society function 4.
