Please see Mr. Schlautman if you have any questions. Help Needed: The room just to the north of the Concession Stand is in the process of renovation and will soon become the Development Office. Part of this renovation requires the installation of acoustical insulation in the ceilings. A dozen volunteers adults and/or students to help complete this project on the evenings of Tuesday and Wednesday, September 6 and 7, would be a great thing. This work can be used for service hours. There is a sign-up sheet on the office window for FFA t-shirts. If you would like a t-shirt please sign up by Friday, September 2 nd, by the end of the day. August 31st will be the first day for GodTeens. Please meet at Smith Park @ 6:30pm for the opening of the year BBQ. Registration forms will be available there. Cost this year is $20. Please see Fr. Rowan for any additional info. The Cavalry Robotics Club starts in September for students in 5 th -8 th grades, there will be 2-4 teams. The cost is $150 per child for the year, which includes the cost of the Robot parts, technology and tournament fees. The attached Registration Form and Fees are due by August 31, 2016. You can drop the Form and Fees off at one of the schools or send to Neumann in an envelope marked Robotics. Any high school student that is in one of the vocal music ensembles and interested in auditioning for the All-State Choir, don t forget to sign-up. The sign-up sheet in in the music room on the door. You must sign-up no later than September 9 th. They are accepting Freshman-Senior this year. Any questions, talk to Ms. Matulka. Extra-Curricular Results: Results are posted here when coaches or their delegate send them to the office. Service Opportunities Parents Corner Bishop Neumann will be hosting Walk a Mile speaker, Mike Donahue on Tuesday, August 30 th. Mike will speak to our students on very important topics such as drug and alcohol abuse and bullying. Mike spoke with our students two years ago. He was one of the most well-received speakers at Bishop Neumann and many of our students were powerfully impacted by his presentation. Mike will spend the day presenting to the study body, faculty, and staff. Additionally, area Saunders County Schools have been invited to attend as well. In the evening, beginning at 7:00pm in the cafeteria, he will discuss with parents cyber-bullying, bullying, and the social pressures teenagers face today. We strongly encourage all parents of our K-12 Saunders County Catholic Schools to attend. Bring a friend or two! This is reminder to attend the Saunders Catholic Emergency Response Meeting on Wednesday, August 31 at 6:30pm in the Neumann Cafe. Steve Malina and Stacie Sabatka are heading up this team and they will be there to lead the meeting. Please join us to find out more about becoming a member of the Saunders County Emergency Response team. The Community Meeting for the Catholic Youth Activities Organization has been moved to October 3rd at 7:30pm in the Neumann Cafe', to accommodate the Mike Donahue presentation on August 31st. There will be updates at the meeting about Cavalry Volleyball, Cavalry Robotics and the potential for high school baseball. Please plan to join us to learn more about our youth athletics and activities club programs! The dioceses has the parent portal of PowerSchool up and running now! A letter was sent in the mail yesterday to each family with the student s Access Keys and directions. All students and their parents will now have the ability to log on to PowerSchool or use the PowerSchool app to check their grades and attendance. Every student now has an access ID and an access Password. (These are what the parents need to access their student s records) Feel free to call the school if you have any questions after receiving your letter. Parents: Please note that the office is only calling students before school and after school to the office. If you bring something to the office for your student these are the times we will call your student. Thank you for your cooperation. SEASON ATHLETIC PASSES The Bishop Neumann athletic passes can be purchased in the Athletic Director s office starting Thursday morning. The cost of the pass is $70.00 for the school year. The passes are good for all Neumann Varsity, JV, and 9th and Junior High home games. The passes does not include admission for tournaments and football playoff home games. Passes can also be purchased at the admission gate during the early season contests. Please contact Rick Ahrens if you have any questions. SENIOR CITIZEN PASSES The Neumann Booster Club provides free lifetime passes to any Neumann supporter ages 65 and older. The passes are good for Neumann home games excluding tournaments and playoff football games. Passes are available in the Neumann High School office. FOOTBALL SKYBOX BIDDING The Neumann Booster Club will be taking bids for football skybox for the following home football games: Sept. 16 th Milford Homecoming Oct. 7 th David City Oct. 14 th North Bend More information will follow in the next few days. NEUMANN ATHLETIC BOOSTER S 100 CLUB Any Neumann supporter wishing to join the Neumann Athletic Booster Club please contact Rick Ahrens at 402.443.4151 or by email: rick-ahrens@cdolinc.net. Cost to join is $50.00 and checks can be made out to the Neumann Booster Club. Drawings will start on Sept. 16 th at the Neumann- Milford football game. You have 10 chances to win each month during the school year. This is the Athletic Booster s only fundraiser of the year and the money benefits all the high school sports teams. FOOTBALL PARKING The Neumann Booster Club recently completed a track runway, high jump area and long and triple jump pit along the fence line east of the game field. Parking will not be allowed along the east fence inside the gate during football games. Parking will remain available outside the fence like it has been. Parking is still available on the fence line next to the football field. There are some designated parking assignments for student trucks and parking purchased at GALA and the Neumann Alumni tournaments. Any other parking spots are available on a first come first served basis. The east parking lot opens at 5:00 p.m. on home game days. UPDATED SCHEDULE CHANGES Sept. 1 Softball Home - Ft. The Neumann website www.bishopneumann.com also offers clothing items that are embroidered and more expensive items. You can locate by going to the website then Bishop Neumann Athletics Gear Store to find the site.
